World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire is currently looking to recruit a RF Datalinks Engineer subcontractor on an initial 6 month contract.

Hourly Rate: The Company are offering excellent rates

Contract Duration: 6 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)

Security Information: Please Note you must be eligible for SC Security Clearance (unfortunately due to security restrictions for this role, the candidate will need to be a British National with no dual nationality and must have resided in the UK for at least 4 of the past 5 years).

RF Datalinks Engineer Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced sub-system system engineer ideally with a technical background. Within the Data Link Centre of Excellence, Systems are at the heart of what we do. You will get to work across the CADMID cycle, as well as being involved in research and continuous improvement. Our current projects are multi-national, allowing you to gain international exposure.

Development of sub-system requirement documents. Data link sub system architecture design. Planning and attendance of data link trials. Calculating and applying data link power budgets.

Desirable: Knowledge of current military communications systems. Knowledge of spectrum management/co-siting interference calculations etc. Experience of antenna design/specification/testing etc. Knowledge of current error correction, compression and encoding methodologies.
