Position Overview:

Freddie Mac's Information Technology Division exists to enable and transform Freddie Mac's business. We provide systems and technology that benefit the enterprise, customers, employees, and our business partners. The IT Division seeks a Project Manager ( for the Infrastructure & End User Services risk support team within IT Risk Management ) to drive remediation projects and initiatives to reduce risk to the firm's operations. The candidate will be part of a team that has an extensive coordination role across the three lines of defense. This position requires demonstrated understanding and experience with information technology project management and delivery, project and remediation analysis, project monitoring and reporting, effective communications and partner relationship management, persistence, and well-

developed organizational skills.

Your Impact

  • Support IT division's risk and control priorities for the Infrastructure and End User Services group, as a member of the IT Risk Management team and Freddie Mac's first line of defense (1LOD)

  • Support implementation of risk management efforts to reduce risk to Freddie Mac technology processes and to strengthen controls that reduce risk
  • Lead IT risk management and remediation projects, driving a collaborative effort among partners within IT across Freddie Mac's three lines of defense
  • Demonstrate ownership of problems, issues, or requests from start to finish
  • Lead project scope, schedule, quality, risks and issues, and dependencies across divisions within the company
  • Handle changes to scope and schedule, resolve conflicts, and track and document reasons for the changes
  • Define and supervise project achievements and project work
  • Report project progress, issues, and risks through periodic status reports
  • Research and prepare materials for executive presentation
  • Recommend process improvements to IT Risk Management policies and procedures that positively impact the organization's operation
  • Collaborate on process efficiency initiatives
  • Align yourself and the team with what is right for the company, not just your own area
  • Focus on real results rather than the appearance of results (i.e., be good, not just look good)
  • Personally engage with customers to learn their needs

  • Bachelor's dree or equivalent work experience

  • 8-10 years of program and project management
  • Outstanding project management, risk management and analytical skills
  • Proven discernment, problem solving skills, intellectual maturity, and relationship management skills
  • College Degree or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of corporate governance policies and procedures
  • Self-directed, with the capability of managing multiple priorities and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
  • Ability to work effectively with continuous change and short deadlines
  • CISA, CISM, CRISC, CPA, CIA, PMP, CISSP or other relevant professional certification
  • Knowledge of IT, technology risk and control frameworks
