We are looking for someone to lead the growth of a critical account within one of our major clients. The person will be responsible for building and leading a team of technical and industry experts helping the client during a period of significant investment and change both with technology and competitive positioning. Day in the Life:
As any seasoned consultant knows, each day can bring something new and different, and sometimes it's unpredictable. What's particularly exciting about this opportunity is that you will be running point in developing the opportunities and shaping the relationship with multiple senior leaders within the B2B organization of our telecom client. We already have relationships and extensive work and your job will be to extend and deepen relationships with other senior leaders in this organization and help our client solve profound technology challenges during a time of significant change in the telecom industry. Every day you will be leading, problem solving, managing, and supporting.
You will identify the work, shape the scope of the projects, and lead the teams that deliver the work. The role will start with expanding and deepening the client relationships, and as you do so, offering the client ideas and solutions as you understand their priorities and challenges. Within months you will be managing client relationships and ensuring successful delivery of the work - in short, a perfect role for a seasoned consultant with telecom industry experience who is confident and comfortable being in charge. This Job is for You if You're Great at (and Enjoy):
  • Building relationships with the senior client leadership team while serving as point person for LMJ
  • Sensing business opportunities and drafting potential solutions on the back of a napkin over a drink
  • Supporting industry leaders during a time of significant change and competitive uncertainties
  • Shepherding opportunities through their entire lifecycle, including identification, proposal development, contract negotiation, and project delivery
  • Building, leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of strong business and technology consultants
  • Overseeing multiple projects simultaneously of varying sizes and scope
  • Managing account and project-specific financials
You Should Possess:
  • The right experience
    • 8+ years consulting experience with an established firm in the commercial space (non-negotiable)
    • 3+ years working for or in the telecom industry (wireless, cable, or broadband), preferably in B2B
    • Experience advising senior directors and executives in a consulting capacity
  • The right knowledge and skills
    • A deep understanding of enterprise services (B2B) in the telecom industry
    • Familiarity with OSS / BSS business processes and technology, including SDN and NFV
    • A passion for building opportunities while working for a smaller and entrepreneurial company
    • Crafty PowerPoint and proposal skills (and would be willing to share a deck or two that you've authored)
  • Bachelor's degree (technical or non-technical - it doesn't matter)
