Manager, M&A Cloud Infrastructure

KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our M&A Integration & Separation practice.


Assist in the evaluation of IT infrastructure environments (eg, public cloud, private cloud, colocation, on premises, remote facilities) including compute, data/storage, network, and security; assess the availability, reliability, recoverability, scalability, and performance of a given topology
Evaluate the operational practices of IT departments within major industries (eg, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Telecommunications, Software) ranging from Start Ups, SMBs, to Fortune 500s businesses
Assess an organizations IT Managed Service Providers (MSP) including evaluating the scope of services, cost drivers, and Service Level Agreements (SLA) by function (eg, availability, patch deployment, IT Help Desk resolution/response time)
Understand the end-to-end systems and systems-oriented processes through their entire life cycle
Evaluate an organizations IT infrastructure and applications in accordance with policies, procedures, security techniques regulations
Facilitate the integration of IT operations and organizations resulting from a roll-up and/or complete separation work from a parent organization

A minimum of five years of external, client-facing consulting experience in
IT public/private cloud solutions, IT assessment design, Enterprise IT and IT infrastructure M&A integrations/carve-outs to support private equity transactions; Additional experience in the areas of System Management, Design and/or Operations also required, and additional experience in industry is preferred
Bachelors degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college/university
Solid knowledge of implementing and supporting Microsoft Server and Active Directory products in multiple offices (Enterprise Setting), coordinating and managing VMWare and/or Hyper-V environments; relevant certifications are preferable (eg, (ISC)2, GIAC, AWS, Microsoft, and VMware) specific certifications may include: Net+, A+, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Architect, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
Strong understanding of public/private cloud solutions (eg, AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle, VMware, and OpenStack) including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, FaaS, DBaaS, and DRaaS solutions; experience in public/private cloud solutions (eg, AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle, VMware, OpenStack) including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, FaaS, DBaaS, and DRaaS solutions
Ability to travel up to 80%, depending on engagement
