The IT Infrastructure and Operations Project Management team is responsible for the Program and Project delivery of Client and IT Foundational Portfolios. Position Summary The Manager, AIS - Client Portfolio will be responsible managing Programs and Project Mangers supporting either the Automation, Protection, or CRESS/Gas Programs. The successful candidate will ensure that the team meet the customer's expectations by delivering Projects on time, budget, in-scope with high quality work performed. They will also ensure the program is operating effectively and will achieve results through others by setting and communicating goals and metrics, monitoring progress; providing ongoing coaching and feedback, and reinforcing behaviors that drive high performance. The head quarter location for this position is flexible within PGE's service territory. Qualifications Minimum: 6 years of IT Project/Program Management or Infrastructure/Operations experience B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or another related field Desired: 8 years of related work experience Experience in the Utility industry/business. Proficient in conceptualizing creative solutions, as well as documenting them and presenting/selling them to senior management Previous leadership experience M.S./M.B.A. degree or equivalent work experience in computer science, business administration, engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus ITIL Certification: Foundations, Practitioner, Manager Project Management Institute Certification: Project Management Professional Six Sigma Certification: Green belt, black belt, master black belt Infrastructure Discipline Platform Specific Certifications. For example, VMware, MS Windows, Hitachi, Cisco, etc. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient in conceptualizing creative solutions, as well as documenting them and presenting/selling them to senior management Demonstrated ability to develop and manage to budgets. Proficient understanding of relevant technologies required to perform support function Ability to influence and work with and across all levels within the business to develop the "best" solutions Demonstrated ability to explain necessary trade-offs and balances between immediate and tactical needs or issues with PG leaders Ability to estimate the financial impact of IT decisions Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills; detail and process-oriented; able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent analytical and technical skills Ability to foster a work environment in which individuals collaborate in pursuit of a common mission and mutual goals Job Responsibilities Previous experience managing bargaining unit employees. Ability to compose professional data reports or presentations utilizing Microsoft Office applications. Provides IT services that include planning, development, implementation and support for systems solutions required for the PG line of businesses Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts Partnering with the Marketing organization, vendors and external partners to develop and implement strategies to reach appropriate customer audience at the appropriate time Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners Partnering with Regulatory and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities by supplying information for filings, data requests, and meeting with regulators. Conducts analyses of asset deployment, use and acquisition, and dispose of nonperforming assets; evaluates and assess risks as part of the life cycle analysis of portfolio components. Utilizes various tools and techniques for estimating costs associated with a project/program including physical, financial and human capital costs. Leads the effort in creative approaches to problem solving and quality deliverables supporting business needs Ensures that the project/program outcome reflects the goals of the organization/business. Provides and manage operational support and maintenance for systems and applications; may provide 24x7 support Ensures staff has the resources and skills needed to support all projects Ensures timely and effective communication regarding the mapping of initiatives to business goals to business partners, including presenting information to IT and business leaders outlining portfolio specifics. Acts as a liaison and conduit for information flow between the department team and the rest of the IT and business community, as well as with appropriate external stakeholders; manages the efficient and effective resolution of issues. Collaborates with other teams in the delivery and sharing of concepts to leverage across portfolios Monitors program results against technical specifications. Ensures appropriate resources are assigned to each project/program. Develops relationship across IT, with the goal of growing meaningful relationships that will facilitate collaborations and communications. Continuous monitoring of emerging tools and technologies to assure the most appropriate technology is being proposed and deployed Drives and contributes to the continuous improvement of Infrastructure components, monitoring and processes Ensures compliance to standards/regulations and governance processes Communicates and champions the infrastructure requirements necessary to execute the IT portfolio Manages employees, contractors and vendors for the efficient delivery of services Highly collaborative, able to work cross-functionally; possessing the ability to forge relationships and partner effectively Provides performance feedback and guidance to staff
