Job Number 232323 Linux Infrastructure Engineer Linux Infrastructure Engineer is required for a contract to hire position in Fairfax, VA The Infrastructure Engineer will analyze, design, develop and test systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort. Additional responsibilities include armoring systems for Navy certification and accreditation working with external vendors and customers configuring lab environments and specifications. This individual is also responsible for requirements definitions, softwarehardware critical item tests, etc, in addition to configuring and troubleshooting system hardware and software. Required Skills Must have a Secret security clearance Provide architectural design and implementation of a private cloud platform Experience with OKD, OpenShift, Kubernetes, andor other orchestrationPaaS technologies Experience with Docker, CRI-O, kubevirt, KVM, and other containervirtualization platforms Strong Red Hat Linux Administration background with a working knowledge of RHEL 8 Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including NTP, PTP, TCPIP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks. Database experience, including knowledge of SQL and related data stores such as Postgres. Experience with generating and troubleshooting scripts (i.e.bash, python, perl) Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware problems Experience with Kickstart creation and modification Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasksdeadlines within a dynamic environment Desired Skills Advanced certification in Red Hat Enterprise Linux Ability to read C++Java code Experience with Cybersecurity (MLS, RMF, IAVA Management, etc.) THIRD PARTY AGENCIES, SUBCONTRACTORS, AND RECRUITERS NEED NOT APPLY.
