As the Lead Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering first class service, advice and technical support to a wide variety of clients, through the highest standards of customer service, efficiency, knowledge and integrity. This includes daily support incidents, desktop and advanced server troubleshooting and hardware/software installation and troubleshooting. The role will serve as an escalation point for the 2nd Line Engineers and augment deliverables for senior-level resources.

Technical Requirements

  • Understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching and Firewalls
  • Deployment and troubleshooting of operating systems and applications
  • Microsoft Windows 7/8/10, Microsoft Office 2, Microsoft Server 2008R2-2016
  • Android/iOS configuration, troubleshooting and integration with MDM solutions
  • Public cloud technologies with an emphasis on Office 365 and Azure
  • Experience with cyber-security concepts (Multi-Factor Authentication, Anti-virus/Anti-malware, Software Firewall, Web Filtering)
  • Advanced experience with hardware troubleshooting (desktop/laptop, printer, mobile device, network peripheral)
  • Experience deploying home networks including Cable/DSL/FIOS modems, firewalls, hardware and software VPN clients
  • Ability to perform patching and maintenance of systems
  • Experience with backup configuration and basic data recovery
  • Familiarity with network management and troubleshooting applications (patch management, SNMP utilities, monitoring solutions)
  • Intermediate knowledge of e-mail and spam troubleshooting
  • Administering Active Directory Users/Exchange mailboxes


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Managed Service Providers
  • Experience with Market Data vendors like Bloomberg, Reuters, Factset
  • Understanding of IaaS, VDI and SaaS
  • Experience with virtualisation software such as VMWare vSphere or Hyper-V
  • Basic understand of network troubleshooting (switching and routing, security ACL)
  • Advanced understanding of DNS concepts (name servers, public zones, record syntax, registrar management)
  • Technical certifications preferred (MCSA/MCSE)
