Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Azure IoT Engineer in New Brunswick, NJ.

We are looking for a talented Lead Azure IoT Engineer to lead the creation of our Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) cloud; leveraging their extensive experience using Azure building blocks and tools. Our ideal candidate will be an energetic leader and self-starter with a strong ability to translate vision into solutions and explain technical processes in an easy to consume manner. We are looking for a quick learner with passion and enthusiasm for tinkering, prototyping, and keeping pace with industry trends in IoT.

Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with Digital Surgery solution architects, Azure infrastructure team, system administrators to design and build a highly scalable and performant cloud IoT solutions
* Develop the technical strategy for our IoT solution so that it will leverage microservices and APIs that interface with devices, the platform data layer and third-party services
* Demonstrate proficiency in developing applications and services using Azure tools and technologies, including storage, security, compute, and communications
* Stay informed on IoT and cloud technologies, understand trends and opportunities to leverage for Digital Surgery platform
* Demonstrate a strong focus on innovation, mindset to create best-in-class add-value solutions
* Research and recommend technologies and act as a domain expert and contribute to shaping cloud platform IoT strategy
* Write code, deliver proof of concept for IoT solutions to advance DS platform capabilities
* Collaborate with Web App (front-end) teams to develop product features and services
* Establish the device provisioning approach of medical devices

* Bachelor's degree or Higher in Computer Science, IT, or related Engineering is required
* At least 7 years of practical work experience in an IT, engineering, or related technical field is required
* At least 5 years of developer experience with Microsoft Azure is required
* Certification in Microsoft Cloud Technologies required
* Expert-level knowledge across various IoT platform modules, including networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, and data management required
* Demonstrate a track record of delivery of IoT cloud solutions is required
* Ability to learn and master new technologies and tools in a fast-paced environment is required
* Experience with multi-cloud solutions, global deployments, cloud-based distributed application scaling, and data processing required
* Hands-on experience developing solutions with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) on Azure platform, including but not limited to developing microservices, web services, REST APIs, and containerized solutions with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Registry (ACR) is required
* Hands-on Azure application development with Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS) services (IoT suite, Service Bus, Event Hub, etc.) required
* Ability to rigorously adhere to and implement development best practices and coding standards required
* Expert level proficiency in programming languages and modern cloud development tools including but not limited to: Node.js, C/C++/C#, Java, Python, Azure SDKs, CLI, portal and other tools required
