My client is a multinational company that develop, manufacture, market and distribute thousands of fiber optic products for the telecom and datacom industries worldwide.

They are looking for a candidate based in the UK (Basingstoke) with a travel being a high probability.

The ideal candidate will be accountable for the management and oversight of exisiting and new product development within specific key accounts. They will also identify current and future customer requirements including new product development opportunities.

In addition the candidate will also support ongoing sales efforts in the areas of, consumables, test and polish equipment. They will also need to coordinate with other territory team members to jointly develop accounts.

The successful candidate will have the following:-

Ability to negotiate, present and close
Able to travel 40-50%
Background in fiber optics
A good math aptitude
Experience in direct sales to OEMs, developing territories and new business
Knowledge of Netsuite will be a plus
