Role Our Client is currently seeking an experienced IT Project Manager - Infrastructure (Contract) in Edmonton, AB starting on or around October 1, 2020 for a six (6) months contract. There is a possibility of an extension at the client's discretion. The ideal candidate will have 5 years' Project Management experience managing infrastructure implementation projects ranging from 50K to 1M budget from start to finish. You will also have experience in managing infrastructure evergreen deployment projects, business transformation, and backup recovery projects. All candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada. Initially the work will be remote following COVID19 recommendations in AB The remainder of the Term will be 100 on site. Applications will be accepted until Friday, September 18, 2020 General Responsibilities Assist with the direction and planning of a project including project scheduling, logistics, quality control and project staffing levels Lead discussionsmeetings with subcontractors, vendors, business stakeholdersmanagement Work with the project team to confirm deliverables and services are being provided to stakeholders' satisfaction Review and resolve concerns regarding issues and performance of the project Change Order management Liaise with project stakeholders to collect requirements and maintain effective communication Develop and implement effective, weekly status reporting to keep project stakeholders and senior management informed on key project metrics Requirements (Nice to Have) 5 years of project management experience Experience managing infrastructure implementation projects from start to finish Demonstrate high level functional andor technical understanding of the scope of their projects Successful direct management of IT projects ranging from 50,000 to 1,000,000 Experience in managing project costs, maintain and track payables and receivables for projects Experience in delivering clear and concise project documentation Experience in communicating with all levels of management, both verbally and in writing Experience in effective forecasting of resource requirements Experience in picking up projects mid-stream and delivering to successful completion Experience with agile methodology Experience with JIRA, Smartsheet andor SharePoint Online is an asset Must be eligible to work in Canada.
