The Data Center and Networks(DCN) Compute Infrastructure & Storage (CIS) organization designs, implements and operates a state-of-the-art Information Systems Infrastructure serving around 110,000 employees, in over 900 locations across 65 plus countries. We work with the latest and emerging technologies to deliver scalable, high performing, always available infrastructure services around the world. We deliver services that connect, host, virtualize, store, collaborate, integrate, compute and transact business solutions that utilizes cloud first, automation, analytics, as a Service, BIG data and software defined.

The IT Manager of the CIS Architecture team will be responsible for leading a team of SME's in Tempe, Brno, Czech Republic & Bangalore, India responsible for leveraging Enterprise Architecture direction, industry best practices and contemporary infrastructure components to drive the optimization of the Compute Infrastructure and Storage environment. The scope involves >15,000 Servers at Honeywell. You will lead a team who engages in Windows & Linux Server Architecture & Administration, storage, virtualization and backup design, deployment and optimization. You will collaborate with the Data Center and Operations teams, Digital Labor and other teams across the enterprise to drive to efficiency via simplification, standardization and automation of the CIS infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of Subject Matter Experts responsible for Architecture and design of CIS Infrastructure

Accountable for technology roadmaps for CIS infrastructure to align with the global IT strategy

Maintain team SLA's on patching effectiveness, incident response, and problem management activities

Oversee troubleshooting of performance issues related to patching activities of Hyperconverged Infrastructure

Partner with Enterprise Architecture team in establishment and maintenance of Standards and Policies

Partner with Compliance teams to ensure proper vulnerability remediation validation is being performed

Provide oversite to Honeywell IT in Hardware & Hyperconverged platform optimization, monitoring and lifecycle management

Develop automation opportunities and oversee compute automation resources

Work with Hyper Converged Infrastructure technology platforms like Nutanix, Dell VXRail, Dell VRTX, Dell Flex OS to create the strategy/direction for enterprise infrastructure

Drive Infrastructure-as-code mindset

Facilitate Cloud adoption and moving of workloads to/from on-prem cloud to off-prem cloud/SaaS

Participate in calls with other members to address and troubleshoot application and or infrastructure related issues

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor's Degree

5 years of progressive experience in managing technical teams on a global scale

5 years of experience in producing technical architecture design implementation and lifecycle support

5 years of experience in managing enterprise IT infrastructure of significant scale in Virtualization and Hyperconverged area

2 years of experience with ServiceNow or another similar formal Service Management platform and/or methodology

DevOps experience is a plus

Strong knowledge of IT business processes and practices including ITIL methodology

Technical certifications in VMware or Hyperconverged space

Possess strong knowledge on Windows & Linux Operating systems

Strong knowledge of Server automation activities (CHEF, PowerShell, or other)

Experience with data protection, business continuity and disaster recovery options, configuration and execution

Conveys specific, observable, and/or measurable expectations for each assignment, and verifies understanding and agreement on deliverables and timeframes

Consistently makes timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
