Role: IT Infrastructure Specialist / IT MSP Technical Lead
Location: Chorley
Salary: £33,000 - £45,000

Our client (a successful, growing and fast-paced IT services provider) are looking for an experienced and talented infrastructure specialist to bolster their IT support department.

They have a modern and open plan workspace in Chorley where you will be part of a team of like-minded technical engineers, all working together to provide best-in-class solutions for their clients.

No two days in this position will be the same; you will be responsible for delivering a variety of projects as well as technical support to this company's varied client base.

Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the customers' experience is second to none; be it through finding solutions to technical problems, incident management, project implementation, understanding requirements or advising on the latest industry trends.. all of the above will be vital to your role in delivering exceptional customer service.

Successful applicants will ideally have experience of…

  • Network & system monitoring and maintenance
  • Configuring & installing virtual systems
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing faults on hardware & software
  • Finding solutions to both application and technical issues via email, phone or in person
  • Replacing & re-fitting enterprise hardware

Also, the successful applicant will ideally have the ability to…

  • Guide clients through troubleshooting steps and explain technical concepts to clients in 'layman's terms'
  • Manage & prioritise you're your own busy workload consisting of numerous open tickets, simultaneously
  • Easily build rapport and establish strong working relationships with both clients and other members of staff
  • Train and mentor junior staff and provide an escalation point for complex issues
