OVERVIEW The IT Director, Infrastructure Architecture reports to the VP of IT Strategy and Architecture. The IT Director, Infrastructure Architecture is a leader responsible for ensuring the technologies, systems and processes developed are consistent across business units and are in line with enterprise technology standards and best practices. This position has responsibility for defining and providing governance around enterprise standards for hosting, cloud, networking, integration, collaboration, end user computing, and mobility. The IT Director, Infrastructure Architecture is a leader within the Enterprise Architecture group, whose mission is to provide expertise of our systems and processes, and to support to the vision related to the direction of the company's use of technology to solve business requirements. DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: + Deliver infrastructure strategy in the areas of hosting, cloud, mobility, IoT, networking, integration, collaboration, end user computing + Deliver IT Strategic Plan, ensuring capabilities identified in strategic plan are being developed, roadmaps updated, and linked back to business strategy + Lead cloud first strategy and plan for migration of key applications and systems + Effectively demonstrate knowledge of how to architect and deploy secure and robust applications on AWS technologies + Lead technology products evaluation processes and Architecture Review Board governance for project solutions + Deliver EA practices, standards, and governance and ensure that the systems, processes, and technologies used are consistent across business units and are in line with enterprise standards and best practices + Build a holistic view of IT strategy, processes, information and technology assets + Define the vision, principles and processes that guide the purchase, design and deployment of technology within FCC + Develop architectural models that show how FCC's current and future IT needs will be met in an efficient, secure, sustainable, agile and adaptable manner + Development and on-going refinement of enterprise-wide IT architecture standards + Ensure IT security and compliance requirements are embedded in IT architecture standards, working with Security and Compliance group. + Drive common IT approaches, processes and access to information across FCC + Key leader in the Architecture Review Board to evaluate and approve technology acquisitions and IT solution designs + Lead technical architecture group + Work closely with solution owners to ensure functions do not duplicate functionality or diverge from the IT strategic roadmap + Motivate, influence and inspire the IT leaders to accept and drive towards the strategic IT architecture + Drive continuous improvements in IT efficiency and effectiveness around technology convergence, IT rationalization and standardized platform, working with the Business Process Excellence group. + Collaborate with Business to understand Service Strategy and Business Unit goals and priorities. + Advocate for technology and process improvements that will deliver flexible platforms and processes that support agile product development and facilitate the rapid transformation of customer insight into customer value. + Network with industry thought leaders and be recognized for your contributions WORK EXPERIENCES + 8+ years of relevant industry experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role. + 5+ years' experience in a domain or enterprise architecture role + Experienced in Enterprise wide business applications with a deep technological infrastructure awareness. + Enterprise wide networking, collaboration, end-user computing, & hosting strategy + IT Infrastructure Functions (Including Operations, Delivery and Architecture) + EA frameworks & tools competency + Business process knowledge + Strong background in Cloud Hosting and traditional Physical datacenter architecture / Design: + An understanding of the basic architectural principles of building on the AWS & Azure Cloud + An understanding of the AWS & Azure global infrastructure + An understanding of network technologies as they relate to AWS & Azure + An understanding of security features and tools that AWS & Azure provides and how they relate to traditional services + Experience with software, infrastructure and technologies.
