Vantage is currently looking for a IT Cyber Security Analystto work at our downtown Monroe location from 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Summary:
The IT Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization's data through proactive design, implementation, and maintenance of information security tools and measures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitor computer networks and systems to identify any violations and security breaches
Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs
Investigate and respond appropriately to active alerts and security breaches
Document all security issues and/or breaches identified
Collaborate with security team to determine best solution to address detected vulnerabilities
Simulate security attacks to identify potential vulnerabilities
Implement proactive measures and contingency plans should an attack be successful
Collaborate with other IT staff to develop company-wide security education and practices
Continuously research security enhancements and make recommendations to management

Marginal Duties:
Remain up to date with cyber security technology, trends, tools, and strategies
Assist with training as needed
Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with minimum of 2 years of experience in information security or 5-6 years of relative work experience
Experience in corporate office setting preferred
Experience in programming; Python preferred
Experience with penetration testing and techniques
Knowledge of firewalls and antivirus concepts
Knowledge of Windows and Linux based operating systems
Self-motivated to synthesize new information and technologies
Highly organized and efficient with strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and with a team
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Supervision Received:
Works under general supervision of of the Network Administrator Supervisor

Working Conditions:
This position operates in a professional office environment with opportunity to work from home as deemed appropriate by IT management

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week)
Overtime may be required
Travel may be required
