This is not a director role where you will not be hands on - this is a very hands-on position, wearing a lot of hats. To be successful you must have the following:
IoT Knowledge and have used this in the past for one of your software developments on a commercial scale.
Cloud - Azure. You must be able to know the different Azure IoT services, from IoT Hubs to Azure IoT ML/AI services.
CI/CD Pipeline - DevOps - You must be proficient at this and understand continuous deployment, unit testing, integration testing.
Hardware experience - from interface of engagement. We are not talking about chips, routers, switches - You should have been involved in a product development linking some type of hardware such as a piece of manufacturing equipment or sensors to a user interface.
Azure DevOps- you must be proficient with agile technology development processes, development best practices.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with experience in building and growing software development team. As a Head of software engineering, you will play a critical hands-on role in providing strategic, architectural guidance and influence the development and realization of a technology vision across our water analytics platform and services.
Lead in the engineering vision, artifacts and best practices for our IoT sensors, cloud-based technology and support customer deployments.
Lead and guide the design and architecture of the analytics platform and services that are consumed by our customers.
Lead and guide the design and architecture of next-generation architecture for the platform software and IoT sensor software

Minimum 10 years of experience in software development experience and 5+ years of experience in managing engineering teams
Technically oriented with a strong understanding of IoT, Cloud, SaaS particularly IoT hardware sensor solutions/capabilities/use cases.
5+ years of hands-on industry work experience designing and building large-scale data, machine learning, and analytics applications and pipelines that are well-designed, cleanly coded, well-documented, operationally stable, and timely delivered
Experience in building and leading DevOps CI/CD pipelines on the public cloud environments, preferably Azure with various Continuous Integration tools.
Strong analytical skills and consultative skill set to analyze current usage, customer goals, and recommend actions that drive success for customers
Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills, including issue tracking, triaging and crisis management.
A positive attitude and professional behavior while advocating a team approach to the business.
Experience building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships.
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and efficiently at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
Must have excellent attention to detail.
Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
