The team you will be leading is our IoT Platform team and is building the foundation of our next generation pipeline and enhancing/maintaining the current production pipeline that supports the processing of half a Billion messages a day.Here are some of the specifics:+ We have great experience in our domain, and we want you to bring your views, opinions, and perspectives to our team. You will learn things about our business that you might not have even thought about.+ We want you to bring your expertise and perspective, and your desire to learn.+ We exist for our customers, and through our relationships with our customers, we intend to change the world.**Responsibilities:**+ Lead Technical Staff+ Hire, develop, and supervise a team of software development professionals, ranging in seniority from Architect to Junior developers.+ Manage the Development Process+ Responsible for guiding the development team methodology leveraging Agile/Scrum leading practices.+ Provide visibility to work both in the form of progress toward goals and challenges that may be impeding progress. You must be one who embraces accountability and fosters a culture of transparency throughout the organization, you want the organization to have a clear picture of your teams' progress and priorities.+ Team Player+ As part of the larger set of teams and organization, you lead by example when it comes to doing the right thing, even if that means it is the harder thing to do. You are accountable to your team, but you are also accountable for making sure your team does not lose sight of their responsibility to other teams that will be using the software your team builds, and the organization and customers that are counting on the quality of the product your team creates.+ You work in partnership with the Product Owner to deliver value to our customers, with the highest quality and predictable deliveries.**Qualifications:**+ Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.+ 8+ years developing production software+ Prior leadership experience is preferred but not required+ Experience with full stack development and data processing/pipeline, interfacing to hardware.+ Experience with data pipeline technologies, such as Kafka and Kafka Streams apps.+ You have experience writing secure code and cyber security is a core concept you help your teams focus on.+ Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.+ Able and willing to quickly learn new technologies and master them.**Key Competencies:**+ Passionately customer focused with a drive for continuous improvement.+ Strong team player with excellent time management skills.+ Always looking for ways to improve yourself, your skill set, and the team that you are a part of.+ You have previously (or currently) developed applications using Java, Go, and perhaps Ruby.+ Technical enough to lead architectural discussions.
