The Software Engineer will work primarily in software development of web interface for Internet of Things products. Will work as part of product development teams responsible for bringing products from conception to full production. Will create and maintain applications for internal manufacturing processes (using LabView).
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Build and develop new products and services for internal and external use
- Develop test procedures and write documentation
- Write product manuals
- Test and debug software
- Create prototypes of new designs as required
- Provide application and technical assistance to customers
- Support existing product line and improvements which include:
- Design modifications for various product applications
- Update documentation for changes
- Interacts daily with other engineers, production personnel, management, sales, and other departments

Education and Experience: BS Computer Science or BS Electrical Engineering and 5 years minimum experience in designing and supporting commercial software products. More than 2 years supporting the design of commercial software products in a manufacturing environment.
Required Skills: The primary background of this individual must be in software design, development, and support of web applications, networks, wireless networks, and familiarity with manufacturing equipment.
Proficient use of word processing, spreadsheets, and other related office tools is required.
Other skills and abilities
Knowledge of LABVIEW, PHP, Visual Basic, C, C++ are desirable.
Ability to operate sophisticated test and measurement equipment normally associated with software design and development.
Language skills : Excellent oral and written communication skills needed. Ability to write correspondence of varying degrees of complexity. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, management, and other employees of the organization.
Must be pleasant, friendly, and helpful to external and internal customers. Must have ability to be a self-motivated learner.
