We are seeking an iOS Mobile Developer for our engineering office in Chandler, Arizona, to work on our popular Garmin Pilot App! We're interested in individuals with iOS development experience coding in Swift and/or Objective-C. If you're new to mobile development but are a pilot with other software engineering skills, we're interested in you, too!
\tDevelop software in Objective-C and Swift
\tDevelop natively for iOS using Apple's development suite
\tCreate functionality for features and take ownership of features as they evolve
\tMay perform as a technical leader or lead software engineer as you grow in this role
\tCollaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions
\tProvide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques
\tServes as a mentor to less experienced software engineers
\tEstimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, offer suggestions to improve processes and design
\tWork collaboratively and professionally with other Garmin associates in cross-functional teams to achieve goals
\tBachelor's Degree OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or related field AND a minimum of 1 year relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
\tExcellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
\tMust demonstrate experience necessary to develop moderately complex software in Swift and Objective-C.
\tProficient knowledge, utilization and mastery of relevant software engineering tools (configuration management systems, build processes, debuggers, emulators, simulators and logic analyzers)
\tOutstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
\tCandidates with pilot experience or aviation industry experience are desired!
