1333 Analyst - IT Infrastructure Windows Administrator

Position Summary:

The Infrastructure Windows Administrator is a subject matter expert with Microsoft Windows Administration, Microsoft Active Directory, VMware Virtualization, and Cloud native solutions from a design/usage perspective, and has created a knowledge hub to convey best practices, common issues, and lessons learned.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Requires expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server software, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and/or other industry standard server platform services
Experience in managing and maintaining an Active Directory Infrastructure, including, design and implementation of group policy, domain consolidation for large scale organizations
Experience in managing VMware in Hyper Converged and Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure; installing ESXiservers, configuring vCenter server with all clustering features and provisioning virtual machines using templates and vRealize automation
Experience in VMware Cloud Foundation and NSX micro-segmentation design and implementation is highly desirable
Hands-on experience with multiple storage technologies including SAN/NAS, interfaces, data replications and backup and recovery solutions
Strong understanding of change control procedures, security patch management, high availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery concepts
Exceptionally strong troubleshooting and problems solving skills with demonstrated persistence in driving solutions through to completion
Experience in creating and modifying scripts to configure and automate common tasks with esxcli or PowerCLI and any of the common scripting languages (Powershell/BASH/Perl/Python/etc.)
Requires good understanding of LAN topology, Networking Devices, firewalls and network protocols and services, including TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, etc.
Good understanding of Linux and Unix environment a plus

Minimum Knowledge and Abilities:

Exceptionally strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Extensive knowledge of Information technology infrastructure in a field supporting the migration of infrastructures from physical to virtual environments
Applied Computer skills to include understanding of networking, hardware, system administration, Active Directory, operating systems and desktop applications
Knowledge of the principles of data communications and telecommunications
Knowledge of computer operating systems, storage virtualization, compute virtualization, and hypervisors
Experience with SAN and FC networks
Provide support in defining and developing product architecture through the provision of designs and evaluation of storage products in order to meet business needs
Experience setting up and maintaining in production VMware DRS, HA, storage/network multipath
Strong understanding of TCP/IP communications

Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive experience as a Systems Administrator in Microsoft Windows and VMware virtualization environment
Collaborate in assessing current and expected Windows infrastructure needs configuration, maintenance, optimization and documentation of Windows infrastructure
Strong communication and technical skills, prior experience of leading teams and working on a highly process driven environment
Willingness and ability to learn emerging technologies to continually expand skillset
Relative experience in supporting utility construction & maintenance
Knowledge about DevOps Tools supporting Continuous Delivery Ansible, Git, Jenkins, and Bugzilla

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Computer Systems, Management Information Systems or related field from an accredited university OR equivalent working experience

Working Environment:

Indoor work, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion
Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator
Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business related events
After hours work may be required
Overnight travel may be required

Physical Demands:

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time
