Infrastructure Pre-sales Consultant

Overall Purpose of the Role:
My client are recruiting an experienced Pre-Sales Consultant to support our expanding sales team and customer base.
The Pre-Sales Consultant provides first-class technical assistance to all members of the Sales Team having particular emphasis upon discussions with clients to identify and rationalise their requirements to develop quality, comprehensive and winning proposals and scopes of work.
Helping account managers to interpret customer requirements and write appropriate scopes and designs relating to storage, server, networking and backup proposals.
To attend and [when needed] lead customer meetings, conference calls and presentations with customers and prospects.
To be aware of and provide advice that will promote other Managed, Cloud, Penetration Testing & Security Consultancy services as is appropriate.
To provide information and training on technical concepts in a digestible manner for members of the Sales Team
To actively participate in knowledge sharing with all commercial personnel.
To actively develop and maintain a first-class knowledge of all the Services.
Answering technical and scoping queries from existing and potential customers
Develop skills that contribute to successful performance as a Pre-Sales Consultant
Keep Records updated and communicate progress where agreed to stakeholdersKnowledge / Competence Requirements
A proficient technical and market knowledge of Major Vendor (Dell, HPE, NetApp) products and services covering Servers, Storage, Applications, etc.
Educated to Degree Level
Minimum three years of sales or sales engineering experience in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment; or
A record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a similar sales role.
Product certification, engineering credential, or equivalent technical credential.
Areas of Expertise include one or more of the following:
A working knowledge of virtualisation solutions based on VMware, Hyper-V etc. is required.
Experience of cloud and hybrid solutions, including Azure, and AWS would be an advantage.
Experience in designing Hyper-converged solutions.
NAS and SAN design experience from a major vendor.
Data Protection solutions from Dell, Veritas, CommVault etc.
Experience of designing modern data centre infrastructures for agile development systems
A proven record of delivering comprehensive, winning proposals and full tender responses
Excellent MS Office skills to ensure documents are presented well and completed quickly.Progression:
