This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and passionate Infrastructure Manager to join my client whilst they are, in a period of transformation and modernisation. They seek someone with the energy and drive to lead change aligned to their strategic vision. The role will manage and govern related strategies, teams and delivery including systems, suppliers and processes for the core business and client systems, aligned to our Group standards and approaches.

This role will lead and govern the infrastructure for all systems, suppliers and platforms that enable our business and client solutions and services. The role sits within our IS&T department, working closely with key business stakeholders to support both transformation programmes as well as BAU. It will have responsibility for all infrastructure, security management activities for systems and products. Leading a small but focussed team, this is a hand-on role leading our infrastructure, service management and security strategy, programmes and management, including but by no means limited to, defining and executing our end-to-end infrastructure architecture and services, all within a secure and compliance environment.

Job Role:

  • Transformation of the Infrastructure organisation and approaches; how we meet Group & Industry standards and modernisation.
  • Experience of architecting cloud solutions within the cloud (ideally Azure) - Greenfield implementation of Azure.
  • Exposure to IAC/DevOps environments
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server environments and AD
  • Experience of implementing and managing Disaster recovery solutions
  • Ownership and delivery of Infrastructure and related services.
  • Design and architecting of our Infrastructure & service ecosystem
  • Implementing security tools and services aligned to Group standards
  • Improve processes, communication and approaches across Infrastructure.
  • Standardise reporting and implement key metrics
  • Supplier management and service management (SLA's and Service Reviews)
  • Contract, license and agreement management
  • Related asset management and control (hardware, licensing, subscription)
  • IT related policies, procedures supporting strategic direction
  • Budget and spend control (supplier rationalisation)
  • Team management & support

Essential Skills:

  • Expert knowledge in Microsoft stack and Cloud hosting technologies- Azure/Active Directory/Office 365.
  • Knowledge of Edge protection technologies - Firewall/Web Filtering/Remote Access/Site-to-site VPNs. (ForcePoint, Trend)
  • Network management experience - Switch and Router administration.
  • Good working knowledge of Change Management and Audit with strong security awareness - vulnerability tools/patching tools.
  • Understanding of data protection (GDPR) and information governance (ISO27001)
  • Previous experience working in a transformational organisation within a Global organisation.
  • Office365 solutions and capabilities (eg OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Supplier management & governance
  • Strong understanding of ITIL best practice
  • Agile approaches
  • Business Analysis/Programmer Management/Stakeholder Management
