My client based in Portishead are looking to hire an Infrastructure Engineer to join their thriving business. This is a brand-new role which will allow you to improve your knowledge on industry standard and market-leading technologies while learning and developing new knowledge on others, developing yourself and helping the company continue to grow.
Working in a very customer-facing position, you'll be using a range of tools and technologies, both supporting existing customers as well as on projects to expand and onboard new customers on projects from networking, to system administration in a cloud solutions environment.
What will your responsibilities be?
-1st/2nd Line support for customer and automated tickets
-Ticket allocation and escalation
-Monitoring via existing tools/systems
-Monthly Database Restore Tests
-Technical Audits and Health Checks
* Patch management
* AD and Group policy
What technologies will you be working with?
* Reverse Proxies
-Working with APIs (deploying VMs etc)
You should apply if you
-Are a natural trouble-shooter & problem solver
-Have experience working in a 1st-2nd line service environment
-Have good knowledge of Windows OS
-Have a good understanding of networking
-Excellent communication skills
If would be nice if you
-Have experience with Citrix
-Have experience with AD (configuring domains & GP)
-Have knowledge of any cloud-based technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP)

For the first few weeks, you to be on-site 4-5 days a week in Portishead, while you get to know the systems and the team. However, after that, they have a flexible working policy, and you will be able to do 2-3 days from home a week. Potentially more if needed.
