Infrastructure Automation Engineer

ServerLogic has partnered with a local company to identify an Infrastructure Automation Engineer for this direct hire opportunity. Responsibilities Include Designs, defines, evaluates, tests, debugs and implements complex system requirements in support of various functional areas such as operations, marketing, accounting, or human resources. Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database, and middleware and utilities software. Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. Determines system specifications, inputoutput processes and working parameters for hardwaresoftware compatibility. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Ensures these products or technical environments are optimally integrated with the rest of the technological environment and consistent with best practices. Stays current with the products and with the other technologies. Recommends changes to our product mix as appropriate. Recommends new or different methods of using these products or technologies. Continually increases the depth and breadth of knowledge and understanding of the products andor technology areas. Identifies, analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. Plans, designs, acquire and implement LAN andor WAN systems, telecommunication voicewire systems, Hardware, operating systems, appliances, Middleware, ECM, and Portal solutions. Qualifications Include Preferred 12+ yearsrsquo experience administering enterprise Infrastructure and Applications platforms. A combination of experience and education can also be considered. Curious and driven to acquire new skills autonomously. Strong experience with automation methodologies and processes Development experience with dynamic languages, like Python, Ruby, etc. Configuration management and orchestrated build with Jenkins, Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Artifactory, Puppet, Vault, Docker, Kubernetes etc. Test driven development and deployment. Agile and Scrum Experience working with one or more of the following CICD Microservices Automation ndash Infrastructure as Code Experience with cloud delivery RHEL andor Windows Server Operating Systems VMware, VCenter, docker Strong, proven performance diagnostic skills Experienced with assistance and training to infrastructure operations teams, local and offshore. Self-starter with an innate ability to adapt to change and motivated to champion the continuous improvement Demonstrably solid written and verbal communication skills to drive projects to successful conclusion. Bachelorrsquos degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
