Infrastructure Architect

Midlands, United Kingdom

We are looking to recruit a talented infrastructure architect to play a key role in developing the infrastructure strategy for our client who are market leaders in their field and a company that is growing both organically and through acquisitions and mergers. Currently they have an on-premise Windows based architecture with primarily Cisco networks. You will therefore need a background that has given you a detailed understanding of the challenges of migrating from an On-premise Active Directory and Exchange environment.

There are immediate plans to upgrade the EUC environment to an Azure based O365 single tenancy. Therefore experience having planned and executed a similar migration would be of immediate value.

The role however is much broader, given the business and growth strategy including integrating new acquisitions into the Group and operating from multiple locations how much of the environment should be Azure / AWS Cloud based or On-premise.

How will this impact the networking requirements of the organisation. In this role you will be a primary contributor to the development of this strategy. A TOGAF accreditation would be useful as would any professional accreditations such as CCNE / CCNP or MCSE / MCITP. However the key is a track record of developing an infrastructure strategy that supports the business and in the future with a Roadmap that is meaningful and the ability to support the delivery of the agreed strategy in the real world.

This is an opportunity to join a growing organisation during a period of transformation in a role where you play a key role in developing and delivering an infrastructure strategy that enables them to achieve their objectives...... click apply for full job details
