Summary The MIL Corporation is seeking an Information Systems and Cyber Security, Manager to use systems engineering and cyber-security principles to investigate, analyze, plan, implement, test, andor evaluate cyber security of tactical communications systems. The Information Systems and Cyber Security, Manager will provide on-site support of the support of a Federal Government client at our St. Inigoes, MD location. Responsibilities Lead a team of Cyber Security Professionals in the delivery of superior Information Assurance (IA) services, to include filling gaps in coverage, development of process documentation, testing of various plans, leading simulated cybersecurity events and other training. Assist with creation and modification of processes to meet Risk Management Framework (RMF) control requirements, including defining system security requirements, assessing system security architecture designs, and supporting the development and sustainment of an Enterprise RMF Accreditation package throughout all Authority to Operate (ATO) lifecycle phases. Ability to research and implement cost effective, automated security solutions like Security Information Event Management (SIEM) and perform Security Impact Analysis (SIA) to determine the risk of changes to the information system. Perform technical cyber security related planning and effectiveness analyses for the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure design. Ensure Plan of Action Milestone (POAM) reports are maintained and that security vulnerabilities are tracked and remediated by integrating with the Engineering and System Admin teams to help harden and monitor system performance. Conduct certification and testing in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) policy identify deficiencies and provide recommendations of risk mitigation to customer. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Cyber Security or related field. Security + certification. Five (5) years of experience working in federal government, Department of Defense (DoD) components, or the defense industrial complex on cyber security related fields. Knowledge and understanding of Information Assurance Policies, including Department of Defense (DoD) Cybersecurity Test and Evaluation Guidebook, v2.0 April2018 National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800-115, Technical Guide to Information Security Testing and Assessment NIST SP 800-53 Rev4, Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Connection Process Guide (CPG) Knowledge securing Windows OS Domain including (Active Directory) AD, (Domain Name Server) DNS Microsoft applications including Office, IIS, SQL server and PostgreSQL (Government Off the Shelf) GOTS applications Storage Area Network (SAN) VMware ESXI, Vrealize Ops manager and Log insight Virtual Private Network (VPN) Commercial and Defense Integrated Services Network (DISN) Wireless and Satellite Communication Networks Solarwinds CISCO and DELL Firewalls, Switches, Routers VOIP RHEL and Ansible Detailed knowledge and administration of security products DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS) Suite Nessus Vulnerability Scanning Solid working knowledge of system engineering and system architecture principles. Knowledge of communication systems, sensor systems, LANWAN network architecture, network topology and protocols. Understanding of cyber security inter-relationships of DoD programs of record and sub-elements. Experience with strategic planning. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and organization skills. Ability to interface professionally with individuals at all levels and communicate effectively with project staff and other team members. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint.
