Technical architect of the I.T. Data Center team supporting a manufacturing business of over 6,000 employees. This role will lead the design, implementation, and management of complex technical solutions. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies and apply them to business challenges.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead design, implementation, and management of data center technologies including:
    • Hyperconverged Infrastructure
    • Three-tier server\storage Infrastructure
    • Remote office/branch office (ROBO)
    • Datacenter Co-location
    • Datacenter Networking
    • Public Cloud
    • Hybrid Cloud
    • Backup\Disaster Recovery
  • Work with Business Relationship Managers, Project Management Organizations, and business leadership to architect I.T. solutions to meet business requirements
  • Evaluate new technologies and trends to make recommendation on how they can be implemented to positively impact the company
  • Design solutions and lead staff in the implementation of the designs through mentorship and guidance
  • Provide a bridge between technical staff and business leadership
  • Increase efficiency within the I.T. department through streamlining and automating processes
  • Present solutions to I.T. management and business leadership to drive decisions
  • Document all architected designs for the smooth transition to support staff
  • Lead the technical infrastructure integration of mergers and acquisitions
Position Requirements
  • 10+ years designing and implementing I.T. solutions
  • Working knowledge of server, network, and cloud architectures
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Hyperconverged and converged infrastructure (Nutanix\VxRail\VxFlex\VxBlock preferred)
    • Public cloud architecture and operations (Azure and AWS preferred)
    • Traditional three-tier server\SAN with fiber channel or iSCSI
    • Remote office/branch office (ROBO) site management
    • Backup and recovery software (CommVault\VEEAM preferred)
    • Data center\top-of-rack networking (Cisco preferred)
    • Hybrid cloud
  • Experience working in a global organization
  • Experience with large scale implementations and integrations of corporate I.T. systems
  • Must have the ability to mentor support staff for a smooth transition to operational mode
