Head of IT Infrastructure and Operations

We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.

  • Sets mission of I&O to foster a business-oriented mindset driven by continuous improvement.
  • Leads the I&O roadmap, and ensures its integration with the enterprise strategic plans.
  • Works with the IT leadership team on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources, including budget.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with business executives to develop a clear understanding of needs. Ensures cost-effective delivery, and is able to respond with agility to changing priorities.
  • Controls the budgets for I&O (opex & capex) in line with the overall strategic objectives of IT and the enterprise.
  • Participates in the assessment of external and internal technology capabilities required to achieve desired competitive positioning and assets.
  • Provides direction on new technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence) and on which ones should be introduced in I&O. Provides strategic direction for the IT systems, including technical architecture and IT service support.
  • Drives an I&O sourcing strategy and strategic vendor and partner relationship management.
  • Works with HR to develop an I&O "talent strategy" that aligns with the IT strategy.
  • Continually looks for innovative solutions to recruit, develop and retain the I&O workforce, and make it progress.

  • ? Bachelors or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.Five or more years of leadership responsibilities in cross-functional teams, working with senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to communicate an I&O vision that inspires staff and aligns with the strategy.
  • Ability to build ? a strong partnership with the business thanks to business acumen, including industry.
  • Negotiation skills in an environment in which resources may not be in direct control.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.
  • Budget planning and financial management.
  • Good understanding of emerging I&O technologies and how other companies employ them.
  • Application of regulatory compliance, including SOX, GDPR, and information security.
  • Demonstrated to manage a team with highly engaged and satisfied employees, and proven skills to make each team member progress.
  • Delivers effective service management and uses KPIs and metrics to track and measure the quality of service.
  • Strong vendor management and partner relation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the I&O workforce
