Job Description 2021 is an exciting year for Novartis as we accelerate our growth in the digital space.As Head of DSAI strategy and operation you will be a senior leader responsible for building Novartis DSAI strategy and leading operations of DSAI function across the enterprise, inclusive of having responsibility for the aspects of Data Economy - developing the data access and acquisition strategy jointly with the business and IT - and Engagement - driving cultural change in the company towards more data-centricity at all levels.The Head of DSAI Strategy & Operations is responsible to develop a balanced value-based AI use case portfolio, handling strategic partnerships and being responsible for the operations, and tracking objectives and finances for the organization. This role works with DSAI leadership team and the Head of Data to develop and implement strategic recommendations for DSAI and Data Management to better Connect data scientists, and the data management population, elevate the practice of data science & data management and deliver significant business impact across the value chain.Major AccountabilitiesLeads the operations to build and scale-up DSAI and Data Management at an enterprise levelBuild a portfolio of AI and Data Management solutions that will augment Novartis associates in making better decisions using the power of AI enabled by cleaned and linked data to free up their potential by automating tasks.Responsible for guaranteeing the delivery of DSAI prioritiesResponsible for developing and implementing the data access and acquisition strategy.Generates strategic recommendations which enable informed decisions of top-level leadersLeader with vision and senior subject matter expert for the Novartis Strategy and digital & data management communityLeads and independently owns major AI Center projects/programs/partnerships prioritized by the Chief Data & Analytics Officer, the CEO and the Executive CommitteeLeads resources to efficiently drive projectsWill tackle ad-hoc requests from CEO and Executive committee members from time to time so must be comfortable working with senior executives at that level.Develops network of senior leaders across NovartisRole models an inspired, curious and unbossed culture and inspires others on culture changeEEO Statement The Novartis Group of Companies are Equal Opportunity Employers and take pride in maintaining a diverse environment. Minimum requirements EducationUniversity education (minimum master's degree), preferably MBA degree; Advanced degree in technology or data science desiredExperience & Skills6-9 years consulting experience with major consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG)In addition to the consulting experience, 5+ years of practical experience as a senior business leader in a global Pharmaceutical companyEntrepreneurial leader with strong strategic visioning abilities and with courage to challenge current wisdomExperience in setting up an ecosystem of partners bringing together various sources of dataAbility to reduce complexity into strategy decision and ability to work with organisation to accelerate deliveryStrong capability to lead without formal authorityTrack record of strong business impactStrong international work experienceYou'll receive:Competitive salary, annual bonus, long term incentive for select levels, health insurance, paid vacation/holidays, potential flexible working arrangements, subsidized dining facilities, employee recognition scheme.Why consider Novartis?769 million.
