Job Description SummaryRequires in-depth knowledge / expertise to formulates organizational data strategy, including standards of data quality, the flow of data within the organization, and security of data . Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Works independently, receives minimal guidance. Key ResponsibilitiesWork as part of GIS BIDM globally distributed team to Architect and implement Hadoop big data solutions in alignment with business needs and project schedules.Understands the business needs, explores the existingdata structure, and creates a blueprint for building an integrated framework of easily accessible, secure data aligned with business strategyWork with other Hadoop developers to make sure that all data solutions are consistent.Partner with business community to understand requirements, determine training needs and deliver user training sessions Perform technology and product research to better define requirements, resolve important issues and improve the overall capability of the analytics technology stack.Evaluate and provides feedback on future technologies and new releases/upgrades.Job Specific Knowledge:Supports Big Data and batch/real-time analytical solutions leveraging transformational technologies. Works on multiple projects as a technical team member or drive user requirement analysis and elaboration, design and development of software applications, testing, and builds automation tools. Participates in creating strategies that use business intelligence and data platforms.Should have firm understanding of major programming/scripting languages like Java or Phyton . As well as have experience in working with ETL tools. He or she should have experience in designing solutions for multiple large data warehouses with a good understanding of cluster and parallel architecture as well as high-scale or distributed RDBMS and/or knowledge on NoSQL platforms.Skills:10+ years of data warehousing/engineering, data modeling and software solutions design and development experience. 5+ years hands-on expertise with UNIX shell scripts and commands5+ years hands on expertise with SQL writing queries and RDBMS2 + years of experience leading teams and/or managing workloads for team membersStrong hands-on experience with big data systems such hdfs, hive, impala, and spark on Cloudera Hadoop distribution.Must me proficient is HBASE & SPARKAbility to Research and incubate new technologies and frameworksExperience with agile or other rapid application development methodologies and tools like bitbucket, jira, confluence.Significant knowledge of data modeling and understanding of different data structures and their benefits and limitations.Strong hands-on experience in Python Or Demonstrated expertise in Java programming and frameworksStrong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities.Deep understand of high tech manufacturing business processes and associated data models/data flows Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired, and ambiguity is the norm.passion for technology.
