The client is one of Canada's largest software companies and is looking for a group HR director.





The position reports directly to the VP Group Finance.





Responsibilities





? The Group HR Director will build collaborative relationships at multiple organizational levels, with Executives, Managers and Employees located globally (currently North America and Europe).


? The Group HR Director will support the development and execution of programs and processes, as well as manage the evaluation of results to ensure the desired outcome and to make necessary modifications when needed.


? The Group HR Director will be a key member performing due diligence on global acquisition targets, onboarding newly acquired companies and ensuring portfolio HR programs and processes are adhered to.


? The Group HR Director will ensure high-quality delivery of HR services to employees and will share best practices with other portfolio companies.

STRATEGIC


? Develop and evolve hiring strategies and create compensation models that attract top talent globally across group companies.


? Maintain a Group-wide performance management system that promotes high performance and consistently top-grades the organization.


? Participate in due diligence and HR onboarding of new companies joining the Group.


? Ensure alignment of all group companies on HR strategies, procedures, tools, and processes.





OPERATIONAL


? Design and prepare job descriptions and global compensation benchmarking.


? Provide consultation for addressing employee issues and concerns across the Group VBUs. ? Work with Executive Teams to resolve performance and disciplinary issues.


? Coordinate, organize, and administer annual employee performance and/or salary reviews. ? Research and recommend international corporate benefits.


? Identify and target key hires within the software industry.


? Coordination of search and interview schedule; maintenance of candidate pool; employer/candidate liaison and perform interviews.


? Advise on organizational policy matters and ongoing changes to employment legislation for North America and under local advice for Europe.





THE CANDIDATE


We are seeking an HR professional who is self-motivated, a critical thinker, influential, diplomatic, and very business savvy.


This role is equally HR-focused and business-based and is very well-suited to an individual who can see the big picture and execute on all the necessary steps toward continued Group growth and achievement of portfolio and corporate goals.





? Minimum of 8 years’ progressive Human Resources experience.


? Proven track record of building strong working relationships with business and human resource partners while fostering a cooperative work environment.


? Thorough knowledge of North America labor laws.


? Human Resources certification (CPHR) is preferred, or equivalent HR education.


? Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain objective while working with sensitive and confidential materials.


? Results-oriented and self-motivated with natural leadership abilities


? Energetic and determined to succeed


? Entrepreneurial individuals placing focus on the company’s short-term and long-term goals and objectives.


? Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills


? Able to contribute to the overall management strategy and interact with cross-functional teams.


? Creative, logical, and analytical. Willing to try new approaches and to constantly innovate. ? Regular international travel will be required.
