Business Development Manager required for an award winning business telecommunications company.

This is a Permanent position with a basic salary of 28k dependent on experience and an OTE of 45k - 50k, plus a range of benefits.

Normally this role would be a Field based position with circa 80% of time in Field and 20% office or home based, however currently due to lockdown restrictions, the role is being performed remotely from home / office base.

Business Development Manager

This is a great opportunity to join one of the UK's fastest growing and award winning Telecommunications providers, selling Hosted Telephony systems to a range of B2B new customers across the UK, but with a focus in Midlands / North.


-Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.

- Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.

- Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.

- Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.

- Research and build relationships with new clients.

- Set up meetings between client decision makers and company's practice leaders/Principals.

- Plan approaches and pitches.

- Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.

- Participate in pricing the solution/service.

- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.

- Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.

- Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.

- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and

creative trends.

- Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.

- Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company's CRM or other sales management system.

Skills / Experience;

Ideally you will have previous Sales and New Business Development experience in the Telecommunications sector / Hosted Telephony Systems sector.

General Skills:

- Sales and New Business Development experience.

- Highly IP literate.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Customer focussed.

- Ability to innovate and deliver under pressure.

- High attention to detail.

- Project Management.

Technical / Specialist Skills:

- In-depth understanding of Telecommunications.

- Experience of Hosted Telephony Systems.

- Advanced knowledge in IP/VOIP, Mobiles and Data.

- On Premise telephone system experience preferably Unify or LG

- A strong background in customer management and support.

- Project and specific reporting in products.

- Order management from project to cash.
