Principal ResponsibilitiesObjectives bull The Director works closely with the Information Security team, Cloud teams, Production systems, and other key business decision-makers in identifying and implementing cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the business. This position provides the strategy, leadership, and day-to-day management of the infrastructure and teams supporting it. The Director has the ultimate responsibility of identifying and designing current and future technical solutions that will help keep our production systems performing optimally. LeadershipSupervisory Role The Director first and foremost is a high-level departmental leader who develops and maintains the IT departmentrsquos strategic road map, ensuring that information technology capabilities continually support the overall businessrsquos goals and objectives. They will also participate in a leadership on call rotation. bull The Director creates and implements IT policies and procedures that enable strong performance, resiliency and highly available capabilities. In this leadership position, the Director explores new technologies and software as appropriate and in conjunction with the department leads and oversees the architecture and implementation of the network, server, and communications infrastructure in order to ensure high performance and stability of the IT department. bull The Director works with other program leaders related to business continuity and disaster recovery and performance and availability programs within the department as well as the recommendations and implementations of new investments within the technology infrastructure. They assume responsibility for the entire network and system infrastructure ensuring proper configuration, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring is taking place to achieve 100 uptime for our customers. bull In this capacity, the Director also plays a mentorship role to key Information Technology personnel, promoting their professional growth, and readying them for the occupation of their position in the future. bull Collaboration and Support The role of the Director is a collaborative one and, as such, they build a collaborative culture within the department and partners with various departments within the organization. The Director will collaborate with the financial department in deciding the IT departmentrsquos financial needs as well as the financial allocation amongst departmental teams. bull The Director also partners with the cloud, information security, software development and product teams in determining the criteria for performance baselines and thresholds for all software products our clients subscribe to. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education bull A BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related field. An equivalent of the same in practical experience is also acceptable for the position Experience bull A candidate for this position must have a minimum of 10 yearsrsquo experience working in a senior IT position within a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment, preferably working as a Head of IT or running enterprise grade infrastructures. bull Must know replication technologies with Data base servers, San and software block level replication technologies. bull Must have a deep understanding with networks and be able to adhere to our stringent resiliency, security and availability programs. bull The Director will also demonstrate experience with a wide variety of data center infrastructure and business software and have a proven track record of creative solution delivery and delivery on business needs. bull He She must demonstrate an intimate understanding of all infrastructure and application technologies related to their filed of expertise and has managed infrastructure for a large enterprise.
