Reporting to the VP of Automation and Digital Strategy, the Director of IT Digital Strategy manages overall system architecture, emerging technologies, IT projects, and organizational change management. Initially this role will also manage the day-to-day tactical functions of the IT department, including envisioning, planning, directing, coordinating, and implementing the short and long-term objectives of the IT department.
Directs, plans, and schedules the development, production, and administrative processing of PureCycle Technologies (PCT) computing systems
Collaborates with leadership to develop and meet tactical goals and objectives while supplying expertise and guidance to users.
Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains a professional, technical, and clerical staff capable of meeting current and future needs, including direct-hires and contract support.
Builds systems capability that reflects the highest state of technical sophistication consistent with the PCT's needs and budget, while ensuring the security of PCT's computing environment(s).
Responsible for the development and management of applicable capital and expense plans and budgets.
Development, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the overall IT architecture
Responsible for the technical, reliability, and maintenance strategy related to IT equipment, including, but not limited to:
Management of IT business systems, including both cloud-based and physical on-premises infrastructure
Management of all companying computing equipment, including both desktop and portable devices
Mobile device management to ensure protection of PCT intellectual property including company as well as user-owned devices
Management of IT projects
Development and management of applicable capital and expense plans, budgets, and feasibility studies.
Conducts effective stakeholder management on all proposed projects to ensure cooperation and effective project scope refinement/development.
Work with Digital Team peers as well across functions for effective program/project governance.
Work with the director of cybersecurity in identifying and eliminating security vulnerabilities.
Oversee all technology operations (eg, network security) and evaluate them according to established goals
Coordinate applicable IT activities to ensure data availability and network services while minimizing downtime
Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
Analyze the business requirements of all departments to understand needs in the deployment of IT systems
Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software.
Inspect the use of existing technological equipment and software to ensure functionality, efficiency, and security
Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management
Rationalize the software offering of the IT department to minimize functional overlap and costs
Coordinate IT managers and supervise computer scientists, technicians, and other professionals to provide guidance
Identify, understand, and assimilate emerging technologies into the strategic plan.
Control department expense budget and report on expenditures
Present periodic performance reports and metrics to the VP of Automation and Digital Strategy and other leadership.
Contracts with management specialists, technical personnel, or vendors to solve problems. Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunctions, and maintenance to ascertain costs and plan department operating changes.
Maintains a professional, technical, and clerical staff capable of meeting current and future needs
Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. Handles discipline of employees in concert with HR and in accordance with company policy.
Communicate progress, needs and project status to internal customers.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology
5 years management experience in an IT environment
10-15 years of production-company-based corporate information technology experience
Expertise with Microsoft product suite.
