Provide leadership and direction for a distributed team of diverse IT professionals operating in a Shared Services IT support model. Develop and coordinate strategic and tactical plans to guide the implementation and management of the enterprise server, storage, and network infrastructure to meet 24x7 operational requirements. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal IT standards, policies, and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and refine IT Infrastructure operational and strategic planning, goals, objectives, and operating procedures to include IT financial budgets for planned projects and annual budgeting activities
Develop and successfully execute IT Infrastructure integration plans to support M&A activities
Responsible for the acquisition, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of Enterprise server and storage infrastructure while ensuring a secure, highly available and fully redundant environment
Develop long-term infrastructure plans and architectures taking into account trends or best practices in the field (eg, ISO27001), and ever evolving business requirements
Define architectural guidelines and implement service monitoring across all platforms to ensure high availability and disaster recovery capability of critical systems
Establish and ensure compliance with service level objectives and/or agreements, key performance indicators and other metrics to measure success and identify areas of opportunity
Establish and maintain effective communication with internal customers, stakeholders, and business partners
Develop and direct highly-motivated Infrastructure teams as well as external resources to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with competing priorities
Ensure appropriate controls are in place to meet or exceed regulatory, compliance, and security requirements to include PCI, NYDFS, SOX, and HIPPA

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
10+ years of related work experience in a large, multi-datacenter, multi-branch environment
Experience with datacenter consolidation, virtualization troubleshooting, and performance tuning
Working knowledge of infrastructure core services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, systems management, data replication & backup, network security principles, etc
Working knowledge of network design principles utilizing Cisco data communications platforms, SDWAN, load balancing and WAN acceleration techniques
Strong financial management skills in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Ability to interact effectively in a multi-functional, diverse work environment that is geographically distributed
Experience in planning, organizing, and managing multiple projects independently
Highly developed oral and written communication and presentation skills
Strong leadership and team development skills for a geographically dispersed team
Must be able and willing to travel up to 35% of the time
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills:

Bachelor Degree in Information Systems
12+ years of related work experience in a large, multi-datacenter, multi-branch environment
Deep understanding of the interdependent relationship between infrastructure, information security and the applications/services they enable
Experience with Enterprise class datacenter hardware to include Cisco UCS, Nutanix, EMC VBlock/VxRail, Extreme 1/0, and Pure Storage arrays
Private, Hybrid, and Public Cloud experience such as AWS and Azure
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Rancher, PKS, and their use in the Enterprise
Vendor certifications in applicable disciplines from vendors such as Cisco (CCNA, CCNDA), VMware (VCP-DCA) and/or Microsoft (MCSE) or similar (can be expired)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance standards and frameworks such as HIPPA, PCI, SOX, and NIST, ISO27001, and applicability in a financial services or large, publicly traded organizations
