Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Director, AI & ML Data Science for the Digital Product, Platform & Strategy: Data Intelligence department. We are looking for a talented director of artificial intelligence and machine learning to grow and lead a team of AI researchers, engineers, and data scientists focused on the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to support internal customers across our studio.

This individual and their team's responsibilities include but are not limited to the creation of deep neural networks, computer vision models, and signal processing models that will be applied to our audio and video content; models built upon our customer level data to generate 1:1 predictive audiences; recommendation engines to serve the right content to the right users; LTV and engagement models to identify who are our most valuable customers and how they will engage with our services; and natural language models to parse our extensive library of written content. The models, APIs built on top of the models (MLaaS), and results from these models will be shared with internal and external stakeholders across all levels, with the goal of improving how we create, market, and distribute our content at WB. This individual will also utilize their background in working with stakeholders at all levels to distill their results into clear and succinct explanations for their stakeholders.

Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and business units across WB.

Build out and prioritize AI/ML roadmap for specific Bus.

Identify areas of opportunity for new applications of AI and machine learning to improve how we do business at WB.

Prepare and present results of the team's work to senior leadership.

Best practice sharing and thought leadership.

The Essentials

Masters with significant industry experience or Ph.D in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or similar quantitative field required.

Minimum of 15 years of experience in machine learning and/or artificial intelligence.

10+ years of experience with the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques in R, Python, C++, Java, or similar languages.

7+ years of experience working closely with and/or managing machine learning engineers to productionize and deploy models (eg via APIs, scheduled processes, etc.).

5+ years of experience managing a team of AI/ML researchers and/or data scientists.

5+ years building and applying Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) to solve business problems.

5+ years building and applying Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for computer vision applications such as image and video recognition and classification, and/or recommender systems.

5+ years of experience building and applying Time delay neural networks (TDNNs) for speech recognition and speaker independence.

5+ years of experience building and applying Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) such as LSTM.

5+ years of experience with the regular use of deep learning libraries including but not limited to Caffe, Keras, MXNet, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Theano, and Torch.

5+ years of experience building and deploying algorithms at scale in cloud based environments like AWS and Google Cloud.

Extensive experience with creating and maintaining software design patterns to apply AI and Machine learning to business problems.

Experience building and deploying machine learning via virtualized containers (ie via Docker).

Experience with source code version control software (eg Git).

Experience in natural language processing (NLP)/natural language understanding (NLU) especially via LSTM.

Experience in distilling complicated requirements from stakeholders into clear and concise machine learning requirements.

Significant experience working with relational databases and SQL.

Experience with Neural machine translation (NMT) is a plus.

Experience working with continuous integration (eg Jenkins) is a plus.

Expert in identifying algorithmic solutions and implementing them to solve business problems.

Expert in working with computer vision and/or signals processing.

Expert development skills in Java, Python, C++, and R.

Experience in managing large numbers of stakeholders on complex projects with varying timelines and multiple deliverables.

Expertise in synthesizing results of complex topics to share with non-technical audiences.

Strong theoretical understanding of linear algebra, multivariate calculus, differential equations, and multilayer perceptrons.

Demonstrable knowledge working on large computer vision and signal processing problems.

Demonstrable expertise in algorithm design.

Strong knowledge of automated regression testing.
