Apto Payments is looking for a DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in cloud infrastructure, security and automation based on AWS. You will be part of a team that provides reliable and scalable infrastructure and DevOps capabilities to engineering teams within a fast-growing FinTech company, Apto Payments. Apto's cloud-based, containerized infrastructure enables us to rapidly innovate, perform continuous integration and continuous deployment within a complex ecosystem of microservices. As part of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for building tools to deploy, monitor and maintain our highly available, mission-critical cloud platform, based on infrastructure as code (IaC). Note from recruiter: We are open to junior and senior candidates, with a pay scale wide enough to accommodate either. As far as sponsorship goes, we are only able to do H1B transfers. Since the advent of Covid-19, we are open to US-based candidates who would like to be permanently remote, but being based out of the San Francisco office is even better! Job Requirements: Expertise with the common cloud providers, ideally Amazon Web Services. Experience in at least two IT solution disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development and cloud infrastructure. Strong knowledge of containerization solutions like Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes, Openshift. Good understanding of CI/CD processes and tools, e.g., AWS CodePipeline & CodeBuild, or Jenkins. Infrastructure-as-code technologies, e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform. Experience with automation technologies such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack. Knowledge of Microservices architecture and APIs. Background in Linux/Unix administration. Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ruby, etc.). Knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL databases. Experience with software development methodologies and software development life cycles. Experience with monitoring and observability tools, e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, OpenTracing. Good understanding of traditional enterprise technology stack and enterprise networking concepts. Good understanding of Agile software development framework (e.g., Scrum) and tools (e.g., Jira). Knowledge of some programming language and OOP.
