Link Technologies, (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas, NV based staffing and IT consulting firm, is seeking a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer for a contract position with a well-established client in Denver, CO. Summary The Datacenter Infrastructure Engineer will work with other engineers to complete a datacenter migration and develop on-going management and support practices. This person will be directly responsible for providing engineering efforts in the lifecycle of projects to include documenting, designing, integrating, transitioning, implementing, testing, and training for transition to IT Operations Management. They will also analyze and provide recommendations for hardware and software life cycle and standardization for the enterprise and recommend best-practice solutions for datacenter and virtual infrastructure technologies. Expected Responsibilities Senior level IT Datacenter Infrastructure implementation experience. (Cisco UCS, VMware, Pure Storage, Cisco MDS, hellip) Ability to build and maintain relationships with team members in a heavily virtual environment High attention to detail Provide knowledge transfer to other team members Implementation of new virtual environment and migration Have good time management discipline, and problem-solving skills Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with strong presentation and facilitation skills Be self-motivated and able to work independently while also coordinating project work and support functions with other team members Have Good analytical, problem solving, decision-making, attention to detail, customer service, interpersonal and communication skills Be willing to mentor other team members. Provide training as necessary and develop trusted relationships with co-workers and peers Have the ability to handle complexity and ambiguity, and provide structure to complex problems Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and monitors own work to ensure quality, presents complex architectural models and technical approaches and decisions effectively. Technical Expertise Extensive knowledge and experience with data center technology (Cisco UCS, VMWare, Cisco MDS Switches and Pure Storage) planning, design, and support Pure Block Storage, EMC Xtreme IO, Nimble, EMC Isilon Experience with CommVault backup Experience with Zerto Extensive knowledge of data center technologies, infrastructure and methodologies Virtualization environment - VMware Virtualization optimization through Turbonomics Cloud Services AWS, ADFS, O365, AD, Azure, Windows Azure disaster site recovery Design, Configuration, and Management Experience with F5 and Infoblox Knowledge of IP routing and routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP preferred) Knowledge of LAN and WAN protocols (Spanning Tree, HSRP, MPLS, Frame Relay, DSL, Ethernet, 802.1q) Experience with Cisco ACI (Application Centric Integration) technology Knowledge of ACL's Experience with network management platforms and protocols such as SNMP, RMON, Solar Winds, NetFlow Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to collect and validate information about current state environments Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to collect design requirements for future state systems and processes
