Overview Responsibilities The Cyber Security Technology Asset Management Engineer drives the planning and execution to Implement, monitor and improve the enterprise Configuration Management Process as well as build, monitor and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). You will own the solution roadmaps for use cases' technology capabilities across product teams and acts as a key enabler of these solutions. You will ensure alignment between product teams and technology teams while driving the successful execution of analytic solutions in the TAM space. This position is responsible for platform development, with an emphasis on ITOM and integrations with external data resources into the ServiceNow environment. This role will require you to create discovery and service maps to maintain an accurate CMDB, as well as create integrations with systems and applications to automate processes. The person in this position will be providing guidance and developing scripts, code, and program logic that meet business and technical specifications. This person will also be responsible for providing input towards coding standards and ensuring the understanding and adherence to processes and procedures for change management. Work with process owners to understand the process requirements related to the capture of configuration data and develop technical specifications and solutions Work with systems managers to ensure that the discovery tool has the appropriate access and permissions to capture configuration information Provide visibility to the performance and issues related to Discovery Collaborate with Infrastructure Architects to understand IT technology strategy that guide which requirements need to be gathered Work with Application SMEs to create and validate Service Maps for key applications Participate in Configuration Management meetings TAM strategy sessions where appropriate Perform day to day administration of the ServiceNow Service Mapping tool, including mapping additional defined business services into the tool Maintain the integrity of the Service Mapping tool across production and non-production environments Assisting in troubleshooting patch release management issues, and upgrades Review the data being populated into the CMDB and act as partial owner of the CMDB Manages the day-day responsibilities within the CMDB, leveraging Integrations, discovery and other data sources to maintain the CMDB Provides and approves all requirements, use cases, user stories, etc. in support of new or improving functionality of the Configuration Management program. Reviews, approves and configures significant IT infrastructure changes to ensure impacts to configuration management data are properly addressed Helps manages Service Mapping within ServiceNow for overall discovery of Discover IT Business ServicesBusiness Applications. Establishes patterns for infrastructure components, and develops custom scripts for pattern development where required Lead technical designer for Service Now code and architecture, responsible for overall Service Now code quality. Design, prototype, implement, test, and deploy business rules, technical solutions, such as client scripts, UI pagesactionspolicies, scheduled job, import sets and transform maps, ACLs and notifications. Develop custom integration components (SSO, CMDB, SAS connectors etc.) and integrate legacy systems with Service Now. Develop existing and custom applications within Service Now including integrations with other applications. Provide administrative Service Now support, including advanced support via troubleshooting, implementing bug fixes and root cause analysis. Document maintain and update policies, procedures and controls for the operation of the Service Now Platform. Responsible for reviewing requirements to ensure that they are provided in enough detail to be accurately estimated. Work with managers to fully understand business functionality, pain points, and areas of improvements. Commit to continuous improvement and learning of development and Service Now best practices, tools and technology. Ensures that standardized methods and procedures are used, identifying, recording, maintaining, reporting on, and enforcing IT Asset configurations, associated documentation and policies Uses scripting tools and ServiceNow functionality create script to automate rote tasks being done in ServiceNow. Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of the application. Participates in coding standards development, ensuring outdated procedures and processes are reviewed. Participates in local ServiceNow User Group meetings Qualifications Education andor experience typically obtained through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related fields Service Now CMDB experience Experience integrating with tools to federate data into the CMDB Strong written and verbal communication Good interpersonal skills, including collaboration, communication, relationship building, and negotiation Proficient with Microsoft Office tools Excel, PowerPoint, Word Able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment Ability to crate reports using the standard reporting engine, plus metrics and SLAs Experience with collaboration across functional borders enterprise-wise (i.e. within and outside of IT.) Fundamental understanding of the key technologies relevant to the Service Now integration solutions including Service Now API's, SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, FTPS Intermediate Windows and Unix administration skills Familiarity with network concepts (routers, switches, firewalls, NAT, load balancing) Familiarity with the following concepts XML, and JSONscript language PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ServiceNow Certified System Administrator ServiceNow Certified Application Developer ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Experience in a CMDB focused role 3 -year experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping 5+ years working on a team as part of a large IT organization ServiceNow Administration certification Follows ServiceNow best practices (including scripting, security, and implementation.) Experience working with NetBrain, ScienceLogic or True Sight and Infoblox Understanding of common audit, compliance, and regulatory standards related to Configuration Management and CIs
