Position is in support of the U.S. Army CCDC C5ISR Center Sustaining Base Network Assurance Branch (SBNAB). Program objective is to address today's cyber threats by designing and deploying game-changing cyber defense capabilities that allow organizations to defend better, react faster, coordinate rapidly, prioritize efforts, and respond smarter to security events, increased risks, and/or operational directives.
Description: Provides feedback to design engineers and evaluates end-to-end systems and systemsoriented products through their entire life cycle. Working as expert, conducts research and evaluates technical performance of software products and overall segments and systems. Ensures products and systems comply with requirements and government information assurance and cyber security standards and practices through formal verification methods. Verifies/validates systems with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures focused on the threat to information networks. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Prepares assessments and cyber threat profiles of current and planned products based on sophisticated testing, research, and analysis. Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements. Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they verify/validate the requirements. Develops and maintains analytical procedures to meet changing requirements. Produces high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior US government intelligence and operations officials. Considered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise. Develops technical solutions to complex problems. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. Experience in heterogeneous computer networking technology and work in protocol and/or interface standards specification is preferred. Analyzes and resolves INFOSEC technical problems. Configures testbeds and conducts testing, records and analyzes results, and provides recommendations for improvements for the products/systems under test. Areas of focus include Guard, Firewall, Secure Network Server, format security solutions, "Smart Cards", and emerging technologies and future trends. Supports the integration of INFOSEC solutions and technologies into networks with particular attention to protocols, interfaces, and system design. General experience includes system engineering; electrical design, software engineering; program design and implementation; configuration management; or maintenance. Must have knowledge of TCP/IP, information security/authorization profiles, or security administration of Unix or NT network/systems. Must have knowledge of Government security policies and familiarity with security-related technologies and auditing tools. Must be capable of providing security engineering analysis on a variety of information systems. Must be capable of developing security accreditation/certification documentation, and creating and maintaining security policy and procedures. Must be capable of performing security certification engineering analysis, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments. Must be capable of designing and configuring security tools. Must be capable of developing test procedures, establishing test environments, executing security certification test/demonstrations/evaluations, documenting results, and developing reports, conclusions, and recommendations. Must be capable of conceptualizing and implementing security systems and architectures. Qualifications
1. Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 8 yrs of experience, or a Master's and 6 yrs of experience.
2. Requires active TS/SCI clearance.
3. Requires current Information Assurance IT-III Certification (CASP+ CE, CCNA-Security, CISA, CISSP (or associate), GCED, GCIH) and current Computing Environment certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M. About Perspecta
