Cyber Security Engineer

We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer. This is a full time permanent hire position in Raleigh, North Carolina with our client. In this role as a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining corporate security policies, best practices and methodologies to secure our platforms and applications in the public cloud. Responsibilities as a Cyber Security Engineer Develop in-depth knowledge on our current security posture and the strategic vision for enterprise wide security, including current policies and secure development methodologies Collaborate with internal and enterprise security teams in the support of systems related to prevention protection, detection, recovery, remediation Help establish and implement a framework for Identity and Access Management leveraging corporate best practices, standards and tools Participate in access reviews to improve IAM posture Assist with enforcing compliance with Information Security policies, standards, and baselines Participate in the development, architecture, documentation and improvement of security monitoring and operational systems to include Threat Vulnerability Scanning Analytics, including configuring dashboards metrics views into the current operational state, alert response Required Skills for a Cyber Security Engineer 4+ years of working experience in a security-related role 2+ years of experience in a systems or network engineering role Experience in the design, building, implementation management of protection for desktops, servers, network, endpoints, including monitoring alerting Experience in Design implementation of data, system and organizational security architecture as well as supporting policies, procedures, and prevention Technical experience in configuration, management troubleshooting of security devices and various IT systems (e.g., applications, networks, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCPIP, OSI layers, firewalls ports, Server PC, intrusion detection, content filteringblocking, log management, etc.) Experience securing software-defined networks Cloud security knowledge and experience including analysis, design, and deployment of security controls to create alerts remediate non-compliant assets Experience in providing security for data at rest, in transit and in disposal Knowledge of PowerShell or Visual Basic, or other scripting language strongly preferred Experience in implementing cloud security concepts and policies Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, reasoning and confidentiality Strong customer service skills and able to work in a team environment Must exhibit a high-level of logical analytical skills as well as attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Security andor Information Systems, or comparable IT industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree and certifications Desired Skills Certifications Experience with Microsoft Azure AD, IAM providers such as Okta Sailpoint Identity IQ Experience with Microsoft Azure security features such as Network Security Groups and Web Access Firewalls, utilizing Azure Security Center, Advisor Monitor
