We are looking for an Engineer with a broad technical knowledge of infrastructure and network technologies to join our Cyber Security Engineering Team and play a key role in the delivery of technical projects that enable and support our services.

The core focus of this role will be the delivery of technical elements of projects for clients, to ensure they are ready for system tuning and live service.This means quickly establishing an understanding of clients' infrastructures, including physical, cloud and hybrid networks, and implementing solutions that work effectively.You'll be responsible for the enablement of SIEM solutions at the application level, and will also provide technical guidance and support for other teams.You will take ownership of configuring settings, including logging levels, to meet client needs, and the needs of the SOC.
This will be a broad and challenging role.You will be working on multiple projects simultaneously, so will need to manage your workload and priorities effectively.You will be working on a range of complex technical challenges, often with new and emerging technologies, so will need to be adaptable and consultative in your approach, and always willing to learn.You'll be happy to offer advice and expertise both internally and externally, and will also be comfortable challenging decisions and influencing people.
To be considered for this role you will need a proven track record of commercial experience in a technical engineering / networking role, with solid security knowledge and an interest in cyber.From a technical point of view, we are looking for exposure to the following;
· Strong technical troubleshooting and broad technical exposure to Linux and Windows operating sytems
· Server administration experience.
· BASH (or similar) scripting.
· SIEM (Alien Vault / LogRythm) deployment and administration, including a good knowledge of systems logging and SIEM logging process in cloud, private cloud, hosted and on premise networks, would be highly beneficial.
· A strong understanding of networks, including TCP/IP, routing, networking and firewalls
· Wireshark / network troubleshooting tools.
· Cloud systems (Azure / AWS / Private Cloud) and SaaS.
