The Cyber Security Analyst for the Cybersecurity Awareness Team will work in an environment where challenging technical and security issues in a dynamic environment will test knowledge, skills and abilities related to industry standards, regulations, policies, laws, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity.
The Cyber Security Analyst for Security Awareness will: use data collected from the cyber defense team to analyze events for the purposes of educating Associates and reducing risk; Develop cybersecurity awareness training (webinars and workshops); Evaluate security controls and business processes against the current threat landscape and provide recommendations for enhancement ; Cultivate partnerships with business units in an effort to advance cyber security standard methodologies.
Role summary and job responsibilities
Initiate, facilitate, and promote activities to foster security awareness within the firm
Work with the Incident Response and Threat Intelligence teams to identify, discuss and champion emerging security awareness trends
Contribute to the development of and improvement in cyber security standard methodologies within your group
Support the Global Security Operations Team with ad hoc projects as requested
Ability to break down complex or vague problems and step through them in a rational way
Flexible in his or her thinking; able to evolve a solution when additional information or ideas are presented
Decisions and recommendations distinguish between near term mitigation and required future investments
Identifies when junior resources need help and provides mentoring in a positive way that promotes confidence

Up to date with relevant cyber security threats and mitigation strategies

Orchestrates work reviews and actively participates in providing feedback on others' work
Performs as a specialist in one or more cyber security programs.
General understanding of incident response processes and procedures
Utilizes Cyber Threat Intelligence and Cyber Security Awareness concepts to influence work
General understanding of the various security infrastructure tools such as firewalls, intrusion prevention/detection systems, Proxy servers, email controls, anonymizing technology, and SIEM
Knowledgeable in Cyber risk management frameworks, web application technologies, and network and systems forensics
Ability to work as part of a team, show initiative and take on new tasks as assigned
Ability to perform risk analysis and communicate that risk to others
4+ years of relevant experience
Some experience with multiple security roles such as Security Analyst, Security Projects, Risk Assessments, and Security Operations
General understanding of AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud
Experience in a global enterprise, preferably in the Financial industry
Knowledgeable in multiple facets of Cybersecurity
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field is preferred
Certifications such as CISM, CISA or CISSP are strongly preferred
