Job DescriptionThe Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for identifying information security issues that may pose an immediate risk to the organization's business operations, customers, employees, suppliers, partners, or shareholders and alert on them in real-time. The Cyber Security Analyst manages the Company's IT security and risk program, analyzes and identifies security solutions. The Analyst reports to the CIO and interacts directly with other functions and business units on issues concerning security.Our office is located near O'Hare.ResponsibilitiesConduct security reviews or/and audits of existing and newly acquired systemsWork with external vendors to conduct external security assessments and testsEnsure compliance with the following security frameworks as applicable to the Genuine Cable Group:NIST 800-171CIS Top 20PCIPrioritize and remediate compliance gapsWork with IT and Business Leadership to develop and create appropriate and accurate policies and proceduresDevelop and implement incident response proceduresEnsure the timely alert and identification of security related issues by configuring and establishing monitoring, correlation, and alerting solutionsEstablish and provide reporting and dashboards on quantifiable security metricsProvide timely reporting on security incidents and progress towards gap remediationWork with an external TDR/MDR solution as part of the overall security programManage configuration and maintenance of the implemented SIEM solutionOperates software tools needed to effectively observe and analyze system vulnerabilitiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, programming, or related program5 - 7 years of job-related experience in information securityWorking knowledge of NIST 800-171, CIS 20, and PCIExperience working with a TDR/MDR solutionPrevious experience with compliance audits and gap assessmentsPossession of or working toward achieving a recognized Cybersecurity certificationCore CompetenciesBuilds strong partnerships with Customers and SuppliersCollaborates effectively across departmentsDemonstrates agility and commitment when responding to customer needsFocuses on continuous improvementActs with integrity in all areas of our workValues people equally
