Software Guidance Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Cyber Security Analystfor a Full-Time assignment with one of our premier Utility clients in Clinton, CT Responsibilities Monitor computer networks for security issues. Investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents. Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs. Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause. Work with external security team s to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities. Asses and help f ix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard. Stay current on IT security trends and news. Perform penetration testing. Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management. Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards. Ensure 3 rd party servicers meet cyber requirements . Help c reate a dynamic cyber security communications program to engage employees (and, as necessary, customers) and increase awareness Required Skills A Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, management information systems, business administration, or related discipline. Minimum 4-5 years' experience in IT with a diverse background in personal computers, servers, networks (Microsoft, firewalls, switches) software development experience preferred, telephony helpful Strong interest in Cybersecurity and or experience in Cybersecurity testing events, including configuration analysis, vulnerability assessments, or penetration testing in a data gathering role (tester or analyst) Certification in or work towards CompTIA Security+, CEH, Certified Penetration Tester, Certified Reverse Engineering Analyst Demonstrable experience in security concepts and continuous learning Excellent communications and collaboration skills required to develop required security policies and share information with business and technology staff. Investigatory and analytical ability to identify cyber risks in new customer service, employee technology requirements and business operations. Project management and implementation skills to implement new security technologies as necessary. Knowledge of Frameworks such as CIS CRC, ITIL, NIST, COSO. Knowledge of Firewalls (Palo Alto Networks preferred) and networking switches (Avaya Juniper preferred) Preferred Skills Knowledge of Industrial control systems a plus SGA is a Certified Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) celebrating over thirty years of service to our national client base for both permanent placement and consulting opportunities.
