The Information Services Department provides enterprise IT services. The Network Communications & Data Center team (NCDC) supports data center services. NCDC is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure/Operations Engineer to lead the Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES• This candidate will serve as a leader, innovator, and evangelist, in developing the internal and external cloud presence with a focus on IaaS and PaaS solutions.• Establish a foundation for projects utilizing AWS and other cloud platforms, and guide the technical programs to ensure success in building, migrating, and optimizing applications, software and services in the cloud.• Establish implementation standards and methods such as configuration and change management for cloud deployments.• Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.• Develop roadmaps for current and future deployments.• Ensure security is integrated into all cloud services.• Build, monitor, and manage the cloud infrastructure.• Monitor and optimize cloud workloads• Review current and future AWS implementations with the sectors in ISD and suggest ways to improve and standardize the cloud offerings.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS• BS plus 5 years minimum experience.• AWS certifications in the Cloud Practitioner, Architect, Networking or Security Specialty, or Operations path.• Microsoft Azure Admin or Architect certifications.• Deep technical background (operating systems, networking, application performance management, load balancing, security systems, databases, etc.)• Experience with driving cloud integration within an organization• Experience in supporting highly available applications on Linux and Windows virtual environments• At least 3 years of experience in implementing cloud-based solutions (e.g. AWS, AZURE).PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Active Secret Clearance• Strong scripting skills and familiarity with monitoring tools (Ansible, Python).• Networking experience with Juniper, Palo Alto, and F5• Experience with implementing a Dev/Ops process within an organization.• Experience in developing and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery processesWORKING LOCATIONS & ADDITIONAL INFO• Location: Lexington, MA• Travel: Non-Anticipated • Employment Status: Full-Time Employee with full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, PTO, Retirement)• Other: All candidates must also successfully pass a Commercial Background Investigation (CBI).This job posting sets forth the authorities and responsibilities of this position, which may be changed from time to time as shall be determined.Odyssey Systems Consulting Group, LTD. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
