Job Number R Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Senior Key Role Serve as a hands-on Cloud architect and leverage expertise in architecting, designing, and building enterprise systems and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions to provide direct te chn ical engineering, deployment, and s us tainment support across the Cloud architecture and solution life cycles. Develop and leverage IT infrastructure and Cloud architecture and apply expertise in security to partner with clients to design, implement, and operate critical enterprise systems hosted in Cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure and migrate, engineer, install, configure, administer, and maintain highly scalable elastic solutions that implement ind us try best practices with a foc us on Cloud migration and AWS solutions. Leverage expertise in deep te chn ical work, IT automation and orchestration, and Cloud computing and Cybersecurity to advise and educate both te chn ical and non-te chn ical members of the client's organization and the firm to achieve objectives. Apply expertise in evaluating te chn ology standards, tools, products, and solutions and c ond uct research on emerging te chn ologies and ind us try trends independently for impact and applicability to client challenges. Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and te chn ical design, capacity planning and management, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment to ensure the environment is secured, optimized, and adequately monitored. Define guidelines and recommendations based on leading ind us try practices tailored to the client's needs and infrastructure and create te chn ical roadmaps, project plans, requirements, designs, and implementation plans. Maintain responsibility for driving rational design decisions across b us iness and te chn ical perspectives by defining the te chn ical strategies of a system and working closely with all stakeholders to drive te chn ology implementation in Cloud environments. Basic Qualifications -6+ years of experience with administering, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise or DoD IT systems or networks for enterprise te chn ologies, including virtualization, such as virtual desktop us ing Thin or Zero client, SQL, Windows Server services, such as Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS, Linux, datacenter networking, and content delivery and enterprise management solutions, such as Micro sof t System Center -2+ years of experience with AWS in production environments across a broad range of services, including IAM, Lambda, RDS, ELB, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, KMS, or Clou dTra il -2+ years of experience with building, delivering, and managing Cloud IaaS environments us ing IaaS platforms, including Rackspace, AWS, HP, Citrix, Eucalypt us , or VMware -1+ years of experience with us ing configuration management and automation tools to provision and manage IT networks and systems, including Chef, Puppet, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, PowerShell, or Terraform -Secret clearance -HS diploma or GED -CompTIA Security+ CE (Sec+ CE) Certification, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) Certification, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification, AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate) Certification, or Azure Solutions Architect Certification Additional Qualifications -Experience with open te chn ologies, DevOps, and related IaC tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, Diamanti, Je nk ins, GitHub, Terraform, Pivotal, and AppDynamics -Experience with JIRA Agile tools, working in an Agile environment, or us ing Scrum methodologies -Experience with the full sof tware or systems development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, integration, testing, and implementation -Experience with c ond ucting proof-of-concepts, developing prototyping, and building reference models -Experience with b us inesses, IT us ers, and stakeholders to refine us er stories and b us iness requirements -Experience in resolving or assisting with the resolution of production issues within established ITSM constructs, including Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Operational Level of Agreement (OLA) preferred -Experience with managing Cloud cost and us age to ensure environment performs in a previo us ly established budget , developing estimates based on existing requirements, and forecasting future costs based on new demand preferred -Experience in working with external consultants and vendors related to development and collaborating with offsite support teams -Experience with DoD security implementation, including STIG, security tools, such as HBSS, ACAS, and SIEM, and Cloud security best practices -Experience with implementing and supporting advanced Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including directory services, PIV, single-sign on, authentication services, privileged access management, and federation -Experience with network Security Operations Center (SOC) operations as an engineer or operator, including firewalls, int r us ion detection, encryption, monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and authentication solutions for traditional and Cloud-hosted IT systems -Knowledge of federal IT and Cloud security policies, including FISMARMF, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and DoD Cloud SRG and applying them to Cloud security architectures -ITIL Foundations Certification Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information Secret clearance is required.
