Cloud Infrastructure Engineer IV Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer IV that has a focus and passion for Virtualization and public Cloud. This Cloud Engineer will be an integral part of our Cloud IaaS team within our award-winning organization. As the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer IV, you will drive the ongoing IaaS and PaaS efforts by working on projects which improve the performance and capacity of our virtualized environments. In addition, you will aid in the development of solutions, consistent with organizational objectives, to complex IT problems that require the regular use if inventiveness and innovation. If you have deep knowledge and longstanding experience with virtualization platforms, across multiple enterprise environments, you may be a perfect fit for this role! Primary Responsibilities Design, configure, and scale servers and infrastructure in our Data Centers Implement and assist in the strategy of LinuxOpenStack usage Set up and continuously improve monitoring tools for capacity and performance analysis of all virtualized environments Proactively make changes to architecture and technology based on trending Evaluate new technology, advance features, and new operational methodology to drive efficiency and effectiveness Requirements 5-10 years of experience implementing and supporting cloud-based infrastructure in an Enterprise Environment VMware Various Public Cloud Offering to include but not limited to GCP, AWS, AZURE. Storage experience as it relates to OpenstackVMware, configuring storage as it relates to Storage Area Networks Experience with tuning systems to achieve optimum performance levels. Experience with Open Source concepts and applications Strong and effective communication and documentation skills required Ability to learn quickly and work independently as well as collaborate with team members and project stakeholders. Experience with configuration automation or scripting in any of the following languages Ruby, Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell. Experience of taking traditional infrastructure environment and moving to Public Cloud. Knowledgebackground in executing this via automation, i.e. Terraform, Concourse, etc. Ability to optimally configure communication across different zonesregions Ensure we are monitoring the right KPIs - what should we be monitoring and what tools should we be using to monitor Google Cloud. Preferred Experience with monitoring and alerting technologies (e.g. sensu, grafana, graphite) is a plus Familiarity with container technologies (e.g. Docker, K8rsquos) is a plus Experience with Message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ) is a plus KVM (Preferred) Openstack (Preferred) Note Any candidate should be willing to relocate or be based in South Florida after the pandemic.
