Title: Cloud Infrastructure Architect (Azure)
Location: Carson, CA
Term: Full-Time (Client will Sponsor)
** This position will start remote during the COVID-19 crisis, but the expectation would be on-site work in Southern CA, once it is safe to return to work location. **
Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect to help develop, migrate and deploy key cloud initiatives, while also ensure stability, functionality, and SLA requirements from the business.
We have a fast-changing and dynamic IT environment. A good candidate is someone who has the " big picture" and can also drill down to the deployment level.
The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect collaborates with different IT disciplines and actively participate in design and architectural review sessions to drive best implementation practices early in the SDLC.
The cloud infrastructure engagements will focus on but not limited to infrastructure design, high availability, disaster recovery, security, compliance, performance, and cost management.
This role requires working knowledge of Microsoft technology stack and SQL Server database. The position collaborates closely with the application teams on design, optimization, and provide approval for all cloud resources on Azure.
Areas of focus:
Standardize resource configuration and application environments
Define and set policies to ensure resources are secured and in compliance
Develop automation framework for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
Evaluate and provide enterprise-wide tool set for automation and cloud management
Implement automation, self-service, Infrastructure-as-Code services, Auto Scale initiatives, and collaborate on DevOps deployment.
Understanding of development patterns leveraging microservices
PaaS usage including Synapse
Experience with Cognitive API' s
Drive cloud strategy to move from cloud IaaS model to PaaS and SaaS
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
10+ or more years of IT implementation experience
Five (5) years of hands-on experience using, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure connecting to Azure Public Cloud Provider, including a deep understanding of and experience with:
Cloud Infrastructure (VPCs, subnets, security groups, route tables, internet gateways, NACLs); authentication policies, DNS, cloud storage and domain management
Full-stack knowledge of IT infrastructure (applications, databases, operating systems, hypervisors, IP networks, storage networks, cloud platforms, backup networks and media
Experience with Azure Stack
Expertise in leading Azure reference architecture activities like solution designing, proof of concepts, including roadmaps driving the target architecture
Knowledge in integrating Azure with on-prem services like AD, DNS, Firewalls, and load balancers with proper integration patterns and architectures
Expertise with Cloud Infrastructure Security, IAM, Networking, Data Security and leveraging the right solutions in these areas is required
Experience with API integration, automation, configuration management, monitoring, ensuring security and compliance are thorough in all cloud services implementation
Experience in Agile methodologies, DevOps model and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) processes and to support CI/CD initiatives is required
Experience in architecting cloud solutions to address industry regulations like NIST, PCI, SOX, HIPAA, GDPR required
Azure Solutions Architect Certification and other Azure certifications preferred
