Your Role and Responsibilities:

IBM is seeking an experienced Data and AI Technical Sales Specialist who will be a technical sales consultant and trusted advisor to our clients. This individual will work with our IBM Consumer & Travel Sales team to help drive revenue for our Data & AI Solutions portfolio.

You will learn the client's business requirements, technical requirements and/or competitive landscape and apply your technical knowledge and experience to bring new solutions to your aligned clients. We are seeking individuals interested in making an impact in selling IBM's Data & AI portfolio to maintain and grow existing revenue streams and relationships. You must be self-motivated, driven to win sales opportunities, and ready to interact daily with customers, colleagues, and business partners.

Additional Responsibilities

* Actively develop and progress opportunities within the Data & AI and Cloud Pack for Data Platform Solutions working with the IBM Sales teams
* Provide strategic direction to Executive decision-makers related to their Information Architecture to support business transformation and their journey to AI.
* Deliver solution workshops, product demonstrations, technical education, and Proof of Concepts while articulating business value for our Data & AI solutions.
* Enable, support and work with the Business Partner ecosystem.
* Develop re-usable industry-specific assets and demonstrations.
* Collaborate with other internal IBM teams to drive unmatched customer satisfaction.
* Establish deep technical account relationships at each client site.
* Maintain an understanding of the clients industry, including industry trends, industry business processes
* Collaborate with IBM sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions.

Support customer technical escalations, on-site health checks, best practice sharing, designing solutions; and answer technical questions throughout the sales process in order to identify/progress/close sales and develop customer relationships.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

* 5+ years of successful pre-sales, post-sales, technical consulting, or experience in the Data & AI space
* Planning Analytics solutions
* Experience with one or more of: Cognos, Power BI, SSAS, Business Objects, BigQuery
* Experience working in a cross-functional sales environment
* Experience working with C-Level executives on building/delivering advanced analytics applications
* Proven demonstrated skill and hands-on experience with a breadth of Data & AI technologies
* A passion for delivering creative solutions that help customers solve key business issues through the use of advanced analytics
* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Math

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise :

* Ability to understand business problems, articulate a corresponding solution based on IBM software, build a value proposition, and establish a compelling reason to act
* In-depth Cloud Platform knowledge in one of the following, a plus: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform/Anthos, Amazon/AWS.
* Hands on technical skills knowledge and experience with RedHat OpenShift.
* Implementation/Consulting/Architecture Data Governance experience.
* Work Location (State and City): Remote (Any US Based City within 50 miles of an airport)
