My client is a high growth Canadian Fintech business that sells receipt management software to banks for them to white label and package up for their business customers - in essence, it integrates with the banks' own mobile apps. The client is flying and has just raised 30 million+ USD for international expansion. In Europe, they already have a number of UK banks (RBS / Natwest, etc) as clients and they have many proofs of concepts in process with other banks across Europe.

They have hired a VP for Europe, with an excellent track record of scaling businesses. They are looking for a Business Development Representative who can work with primarily banking clients.

This role does not require a huge amount of experience (2-5 years) experience in a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role (inside sales, etc). This role is not purely office-based; it will involve meeting customers, attending trade shows and will grow as the company does. The role offers excellent career progression to a regional sales manager role. The hiring manager has an excellent track record of developing / mentoring people and some of the people we placed 10 years ago are now sales VP's in other companies.

The salary is flexible depending on experience.

Open Banking and PSD2 are changing the dynamics of the European banking sector. With new entrant “challenger banks” disrupting the status quo, the traditional banks are fighting back, introducing new digital technologies to engage and retain customers. The client delivers this technology through customer engagement, transaction analytics and receipt management to the leading banks globally, in Europe these include NatWest, RBS and Ulster Bank, and are currently in delivery or proof of concept with a number of other leading European banking groups.
